It´s time for some reorganisation / upgrades
Added 2021-03-02 20:19:39 +0000 UTCIn our team session last weekend we decided to make a short and needed "upgrade-break". This means that the upcoming S&D title release will be delayed somewhere next week. But the overall plan for this month will consist. Just so you know we´re not getting lazy :P
So basically we decided in our team session the following
Software
-> Main Rig needs a complete reinstall
-> VaM folders need to be completely reorganized after nearly 2 years of use without even thinking about a professional MoCap / studio file structure.
Hardware
-> Additional Lighthouse Basestation 2.0 ordered
-> Additional 3 Tracker 2.0 ordered
The last two months were full with changes. We´ve reorganized our general recording style & post procession habits to gain even better quality. We learned to put more love into the details as well as we´ve decided never to release something we´re not 100% proud of. So we´ve abandoned our level A to C system. We´ve implemented voice acting to gain a better immersive feeling for the first time and Chrizzy + Gato are willing to continue.
Now were upgrading to 6 tracker MoCaps & 3 Base Stations.
Thats not the end of the road. Recording MoCaps with trackers is a great way. In our spare time were looking further though. Somewhere in the future we might record using DAZ studio with a motion suite and convert the bvh animation after editing into VaM 2.0. From our knowledge now this might be the most precise way to MoCap. But thats only some future thought here. Lets see....
