Functionality Question - "Animation Method"
Added 2023-01-02 09:00:02 +0000 UTCThis is simple and we are really curious how you feel about this method / technique. It's about some "STRIPPED" releases and the question if it's basically worth it or better said the additional time spent on it.
We are not sure if you even noticed but in the latest STRIPPED released "Chilled HJ 01" you have the possibility to stop the mocap animation and to enjoy an endless HJ. Since there are multiple HJ animations recorded playing randomly regardless if the leading MoCap animation is stopped or not the benefit from this animation method is clearly you have partly an unique experience. On the other hand it requires some fiddeling around and costs the most valuable thing in our studio: Time.
So is it worth it? Do you like the unique experience or you think it doesn't matter at all and would be the same if the animations were static (to be said linear without any variation like most of the MoCap animation you get anywhere else)
We're not targeting to implement this method in every stripped release anyway cause it's just too much but we are targeting to implement it in scenes we think would totally benefit from it.
Curious what you say!
