WIP: 50% done!

Hello! It's been a week, and I was able to steadily work on the next video every day!

I already have 50% of the video animated, 20 seconds exactly - which is the first 6 shots. If nothing goes wrong, I might be able to finish it next week?! I hope so! Here is a little progression of the first shot:

You might be able to guess what I'm animating now if you've played this sidequest in XIV...or not, this specific scene is not replayable in the inn! :(

Some of the shots have more simple movements that I was able to finish in only a day, while others took me a few more tries. This one of her using the linkshell is on the simple side and I was able to finish it in one day of work. I have yet to start the most difficult shot I have in this video, though!

The hard part for me right now is that this dialogue isn't voiced in the game, so I feel like the audio for my video is lacking. I'm trying to think of good voice clips to add to not be completely silent, but so far it's missing something. I'll spend the next week rewatching cutscenes and testing out reactions to fill in the space, maybe simulate something like games that are not voiced, but have little voice clips in between the dialogue, you know? I can think of Rune Factory 4 as an example.

Speaking of which, did you know that Uchida Yuma (Raha's JP VA) asked YoshiP twice to add little reaction voice clips for the WoL in cutscenes? He is so right! I like it more when we can hear our WoL's voice. I hope we get that in XIV someday, meanwhile I will just do it in my videos instead. Thank you, Au Ra voice 10 emotes!

Other than that and learning a few new shortcuts and tricks in Blender and Premiere, it's the animation process I'm used to by now! I want to show it in better detail in the future but I'm trying to figure out how to do it in a more organized way. I'm more of a hands-on learner and I'm usually not patient enough to stop what I'm doing to watch a lot of tutorials, so instead I figure out things as I go and watch tutorials mostly for specific things I wanna do. It's probably not the most efficient or "correct" way to learn, but I think it's the most fun - and that for me is what matter most!

It's kinda like blind raid runs day one, I suffer to learn a mechanic, do it in a weird way that somehow works, then later on find out there was a much better and smart way to do it and never forget it...though it takes some time to get there.

I will make sure everything goes well and the video is done by the end of next week! I already have an idea for the next one that I'm sad that I didn't think of in time for Valentine's Day (I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT IT) so I have even more reason to be done with this one now! I can't waitttt!!!

I hope you enjoy it when it's finally ready! <3

Thank you very much for your support!!!
