Hello! Happy sunday!
In today's video I will show you step by step how I usually add lights to my projects. I'm using the same project I've started on last week's video, so we will keep working on it until the end while I show the process step by step!
Even though I'm doing this step right now in the process, you could do it later or even after the whole animation is done - really it's about preference. I raised the render settings quality in the video to be able to see something closer to the final rendered look in the viewport, but when animating, I actually turn it off so I can focus only on the animation and it doesn't run slower.
If you're doing this on your own project and it's slowing you down, it's helpful to set your Render Settings sampling value of the Viewport down to 64 again. There's also a setting there called "Simplify", which scales down the textures in the viewport to make it easier to work with - I usually set the Max Subdivision to 6.
I hope this is helpful! As always, if you have any questions or requests, let me know.
Thank you very much for your support!
