Eternal Bonds - A FFXIV Otome Game!

That's me, I'm the fool that spent like 1+ month making this. I hope you like it! I've been looking at it for so long that I don't know if I do anymore. lol I do wish it was a real game, though - I was 100% motivated by my delusional wishful thinking of wanting this to be a thing.

I have to admit, it was SO WEIRD animating Lizard with anyone other than G'raha! I hope the idea of her being a placeholder for the player character was clear, and that's why I did that intro thing with the silhouette of other characters. So the concept of the game would be that you can play it as your WoL, and depending on your choices, have romantic situations with the 7 available Love Interests!

The choice scene is pretty much the ending of 6.0, but instead of just ending there without our answer, we could just follow them to their destination. Estinien goes to Radz-at-Han, G'raha goes to Old Sharlayan (where Erenville is!), Alphinaud goes to Ishgard (where Aymeric is!), and Thancred and Urianger mention seeing the Loporrits before leaving for who knows where. Wouldn't it be perfect?! It's already a route filter right there.

Also all of them fit quite nicely the otome game LI archetype, and I was already imagining the mood of each route while animating them! G'raha would have the poster boy main route (obviously!), Urianger would have a more emotional one (maybe something about falling in love again after Moenbryda?), Alphinaud would be the pure one figuring out his feelings, Estinien would be the comic relief with some spice...you get the gist.

I had to limit myself to the 7 guys alive and available after 6.0, but I know there are so many other options! If I did include them all I'd never finish this thing, but I imagine a Zenos yandere route would be fantastic...

For a lot of the "CG" poses, I used actual otome game references to do something a little similar. I wonder if otome gamers would be able to recognize them all?

Oh, and the G'raha touching scene!!! I think it's my favorite animated G'raha scene now. It was inspired by a really pretty artwork by @paperpoppy, and combined with the existence of Love and Deepspace - which I don't play because it's gacha, but oh boy does that game look good...and it serves as proof that people enjoy this kind of thing and it generates money, SO PLEASE SQUARE ENIX! THINK ABOUT IT!!!

Anyway, that's what's been going through my head lately. Again, I hope it was enjoyable! Which route would you be more interested in?
