Hello, happy sunday!
Today's video shows the process of making the audio for "You're not Alone".
It's something I find really fun to do, and ever since I started making videos I'm always listening to new cutscenes and moments ingame noticing new audio clips I could use.
I forgot to mention in the video, but you see that little audio bar at the right of the timeline? You want to keep an eye on it to know if the volume is too high or loud. I've heard somewhere that ideally the final result should be between 6-12 in that bar. I don't remember where I saw this, but I try to do that anyway. No one ever complained about the volume of the videos, so I think it's working...? :P
Another thing I do to make extra sure the audio is at least not way too loud or way too low, is to listen to a few youtube videos from channels that have more professional editing, and then listen to mine without adjusting anything on my pc, and see if it feels too different.
Also, try to use headphones when editing, or at least to check the final result. I'm actually not used to wearing headphones all the time, I'm either using a wearable speaker or a regular one. When I did the audio for the Linkpearl video, I didn't check it with a headphone before, and when I watched it with headphones, I noticed some extra noise in the audio that shouldn't be there in some of the effects! Now I edit everything with headphones just in case. I assume most people are already wearing them regularly anyway, but it was worth mentioning!
I hope this is helpful or interesting to some of you. :)
Thank you very much for your support!
