WIP: So much to do, so little time!

Hello!! Weekly WIP update~

This week was rather chaotic for me again, and I couldn't even open Blender for a few days...but!! I have a nice breathing time of work now and today and during the weekend I will be able to focus on it :D

Hopefully that will give me a nice boost of progress. I do have some fun things to show, anyway~

This clip is based on an specific part of an specific anime opening. I wonder if anyone here recognizes where it's from? If you do, you probably had a very magical, musical, early 2000's.

A lot of clips of this project will be, like that one, directly based on certain anime openings. Here's how my timeline currently is!

The base track is mostly the anime reference clips I'm using, mostly trying to get the camera and the pose very close to it and recognizable - the editing around it will probably change to match my own video's aesthetics.

During this week, I was able to add a few new short animations to the timeline, but didn't edit the background, so they're over the original reference like this, waiting. That one from the opening picture of this post is the same case.

And the gaps...no worries, I already have all of it planned~! Those are going to be the fully original parts. In some of them I will be referencing and recreating certain parts of the Eorzea Academy manga, some with a twist to include my Lizard on them.

And for them, I already found on textools some useful assets to use! If you set it to sort "by set", and look at the last objects of the Weapon list, you will find many objects used in cutscenes and not available to players as items. I had a little fun just scrolling through it and finding cool stuff to use that I didn't even remember existed! I was actually looking for Kupo Nuts though, and did not find them. I should login to XIV and get the code for them there.

Some assets just do not exist at all, though. In one of the official arts of the manga, G'raha is holding a little, very cute juice box...

...so I created one! It's only going to show for like, 3 seconds, but I'm happy to add this little detail. I hope to add more stuff like this as the video progresses.

My goal is to finish all of G'raha/Lizard's solo shots by the end of the weekend, and rig a new character next week! I have a long list of characters I want to include, and I don't plan on giving up on any of them!

I'll do my best to have lots of new stuff to share next week! I hope you enjoy it.
