WIP: ...it didn't take a week

Hello!...I'm late, I'm sorry...I failed! It didn't take a week. T_T

Well, I'm still working on it, and it's ALMOST THERE!! But I really wanted to have it finished today or even before that, but here I am. Partially because of IRL stuff and working a few extra hours, and partially because the few shots left...I just couldn't make it simpler, could I?!

One more Raha rigged. If you read the manga, you know what chapter I'm referencing! He looks so cute~ Lizard agrees.

And now there's only 3 seconds left to animate!! Not the easiest 3 seconds ever, but still, 3 seconds. In a lot of videos that would've meant I could be even finish it today, but for this one I might have to stop estimating time because I clearly didn't get it right.

Just that tiiiny highlighted area there...every separated green nest thing is it's own separated rendered shot, with its own effects and all. I have a total of 36 rendered scenes from Blender. It's the most I've ever done for a single video!

I really, really appreciate people that supported me throught this one. This was far more work than I was anticipating, and I think it was frustrating because I spent so long in some of the shots to only have 2~3 seconds done and be so far from having the whole thing. Maybe I felt it wasn't as satisfying as the cutscene-style videos I usually make? Making an anime opening of sorts seemed really fun and something cool to have done, but as I was working on it, I kept thinking that it could be more fun to watch the actual scenes...

Like this one! I could reference my favorite little bit in the manga, so that makes me happy~ It's a very short clip, like it's a bit of an episode added to the opening, but it makes me want to animate the whole scene. MAYBE I WILL.

Despite that, I think I can say I'm pretty happy with what I have so far. I'm still glad I did it, and I can't wait to finally watch the full end result and be able to watch it just enjoying it instead of thinking of what I still have to work on, but I'm definitely going back to short animation things for a good while now! It was certainly a learning experience.

Although, it's also true that the longer I keep working on the same project, no matter what it is, I always end up thinking more or less like that. Like, sometimes I lose sight of why I thought it was a good idea in the first place because I get so invested in the technical aspects and difficulties of it all? I don't know if that makes sense. So I know it's normal and if I keep going and trust the process, I will be glad that I did!

I might have worked slower on it throught some of it to avoid burn out, and again this week I skipped on the patreon video (I'm so, so sorry! I really want to compensate for that!) and don't worry, I'm fine! I want to keep animating! I might take a few days for myself after posting this one before starting a new personal project, but I have a lot of ideas that I'm excited to get started on...so I'll be posting a new poll during this time so you help me decide which one~

Resting time does not mean not posting videos here, like I said, I want to compensate for patreons that watch the videos. Exactly right now I'm working on the video I'll post this weekend, which is an update on how to put a character rig together, how I fixed the shaders and used the new mektools. I hope it's helpful!
