WIP: Late update, almost there!

Hello~ super late WIP post! Sorry, we had a holiday this week and I among other things, I was playing Expedition 33 - didn't even notice the days going by. My bad... great game by the way, the story got me invested right at the start and the music is SO GOOD!!!

Anyway!

Only 2 shots left to animate, and a few sound effects and backgrounds to record in game!!! I felt like I was so close that I actually tried to speed through it these past couple days to post it as soon as possible and delay the weekly video by a a few days...but there's still a little bit to go. The two shots left are some of the most time consuming ones (although I'm very sure I will be done with one of them today!). So most likely, I will have the video early this week and a Behind the Scenes shortly after. I'm aiming for Wednesday.

I also recorded myself animating some of the shots and will be sharing a timelapse of them, too!

Here's the current timeline, which honestly didn't change that much from last week - except for the nested sequences, because it was getting hard to work on with all those effects. There's a lot of layers for effects that I wanted to add because the main appeal of AST to me is how pretty the skills look, the stars and the effects, so I want to get as close as I can to that:

Like in this one - I didn't get the exact same effect from the AST skills, so I tried recreating something that resembled them with a bunch of layers and overlays.

When I'm done, I'll work on the Heartache one a little more while I get things ready for the next short one. It's going to be either the Champion of Eorzea, which I've had the idea for FAR too long and didn't get to actually start, or my version of the Endwalker credits scene at the Ragnarok, when the WoL wakes up and I really need to hug G'raha there. The first one is cute and silly, and the other is a little more serious and challenging. Both of them are going to add to my MSQ headcanon, which is something I haven't been doing for a few videos now, so that's what I want to do next!
