Here I want to show you consept art of swoeds od Eredin and Caranthir.

Also, I would like to tell how actually going "consept art" with all steps.

I'm well aware that I'm not an expert in European weapons and armor, so whenever possible I try to consult with experts. Sometimes collaboration turns into interesting stories to share.

I drew the design of the sword of Eredin exactly as it is described in the book. It turned out to be very similar to the Chinese Dao sword + I added some elvish taste.

However, you probably remember that Eredin's armor is similar to the Western European 14-15th century, which if put all together, to be honest, in my opinion looked funny rather than cool.

Therefore, after consulting with friend who is blacksmith. Discussing the situation, I decided to change the concept and create something similar to Western European swords or sabers. Also I desided to think about sword for Caranthir as well.

After more sketches, I desided to stop on swords (or rather even knives) that existed in Switzerland. You can see some on picture.

I desided make sword two heanded, so my friend sent me picture of real sword to understand size. What is really cool. :D I desided make long sword 30cm handle and 95cm blade. So blade is more than 3x longer. Handle for 3 fists.
