Backstory: Once Elthien told Caranthir that he had a "smoking cone", in response to which young elf lectured him about the pattern with alder cones on his bracers and that they were enchanted with magic that prevented any ignition. :D
If talk seriously: I just heard a rumor that people think it’s pattern of thistle on his bracers.. I decided to show the design and why it is. Although I was surprised they saw anything 😀

To be clear: I meant that there are more than forty species(kinds) of alder tree.
