)O( What is Majik, and why do I spell it funny? )O(

I have noticed that several modern interpretations of the word "magick" or "magic" do not include many aspects of indigenous wisdom.   These interpretations also tend to cherry-pick from various forms of non-Western thought, leaving the substance behind and taking only the jewel words or flashy high concepts.  I walk a different path.  To make that clear to the universe, I have chosen a spelling of this word that is separate from either traditional take.
Majik is the essence of that which escapes current human understanding.  It is not a set of rules, a specific methodology, or a science.  Majik is a force of nature that has not yet been fully defined by mortal consciousness.  It flows through all of tangible reality, uniting it with the subtle realms outside our limited range of perception.  In tribes around the world, from 32,000 years ago until now, certain ways of connecting to energies beyond the human scope of existence have presented themselves as a constant.  These principles are the founding mysteries of occultism.
The image above contains items of mystical significance from around the world.  A Peruvian shamanic rattle, yak bone prayer beads carved by the hands of laughing children at a sacred puja in India, an Egyptian cobra brooch blessed by a priestess of Sekhmet, a glass bell from the fae hills of Ireland, flowers from someone's walkabout in the Australian outback, and more.  Though you will notice I am heavily Kemetic in my practice and pantheon affiliations, I am a true Chaos Magus in the sense that I take on the qualities of all wisdom granted to me.
