Platform switching

Hi folks, I am now considering switching from patreon to subscribestar, there are few concerns I have regarding subscribestar primarily regarding withdrawal methods and that they do not allow to post in 4K (I might be wrong on this one though).

But there are a few reasons for these thoughts.

A) subscribestar is more softer to NSFW artists which will allow me to make more variable style of content that might be deemed as questionable here.

B) much lower fees, patreon is actually takes up pretty big portion of my income.

C) patreon's actions against NSFW artists, patreon slowly but surely squeezing out NSFW artists and complete ban of NSFW is more about when will it happen rather than if it will ever happen, so I obviously need a backup plan, I need to learn a lot about subscribestar first, their policies, fees, withdrawal methods etc.

I will not transition there immediatelly, I would do it slowly, step by step.

Comments

I think it's definitely a good idea to have both. Potentially also Pixiv fanbox, but... The have recently been banning 3d creators for being "Too realistic"... So that might not be worth it. More options is definitely better though. You don't have to close your patreon to have a SubscribeStar.

I know, this is also a huge "but" for me.

The only reason I'm not using Subscribe Star is because PayPal does not support it.

Fetishes primarily, I turned down quite a lot of commissions cos I hasn't been sure whether I can post it here or not, but it mostly comes down to not being so paranoid about what to post and what is not.

What type of content are you considering that wouldn’t be allowed on Patreon?
