Alien Probe, Sentient Machine, Nuclear Weapon, or Junk? What is the Betz Mystery Sphere?

In the Spring of 1974, a large brush fire swept across the property owned by Antoine and Gerri Betz.

While assessing the damage, they noticed something very out of place.

Lying in the smoldering grass, was a highly polished, metal sphere. This became known as the Betz sphere or the Betz orb.

Terry Betz, Antoine and Jerri's 21-year-old son, went to pick up  the sphere. Although it was only 8-inches in diameter, it was extremely heavy.

Then the Betz family did something with the sphere that would change their lives forever. Something that the family would come to regret.

They brought it home.

Alien Probe, Sentient Machine, Nuclear Weapon, or Junk? What is the Betz Mystery Sphere?

It’s obviously, “The Demon Core”, they must’ve misplaced it. “Tickle the Dragon” !

Jack O. Lantern

I hate that the family was tricked out of possession of the sphere. That being said I wonder if it wasnt best for their safety. Desperate people do dangerous things to get what they want. Im glad they're safe.

Curious about what was at the core. What if an extraterrestrial being’s essence (soul?) was protected and the casing could only be opened by society when its technology (hopefully) was advanced enough to open it, understand what was in it, and be empathetic enough to not harm it outright out of fear. A form of stasis. So many questions. This was a great summary of this. There’s a whole podcast series/story out there about this one that’s also presented in a very engaging manner.

Glennerd

Ok I didn’t miss it 🤭Just did not recognize the first few seconds.

Felene Pollard

How did I miss this one? I never miss a WF?! As always Lord Hecklefish’s performance was rockin’!

Felene Pollard

This story has the same benging as the Heavy Metal movie "Den" sequence. In the movie he even puts it in his window and forgets about it. I wonder if it this was a influence for the movie.

Dave Holden

I must echo, that Hecklefish singing Foo Fighters was wonderful, I think he is "fishing" for a sponsor for his own show.

John Edgeworth

That’s no joke. They do. GAPD Goofy Ass Police Department. I live in Jacksonville, FL. I’ve been more times than I’d like to admit. Haven’t been there I’d say since 92’

Paralyzed Power

The basis for Bluetooth, and gps was pioneered by Hedy Lamarr in 1941. For the war machine. When did the civilian application come into knowledge 99’!? That’s a 50 yr gap. So imagine us in 50 yrs then we will have a better idea of what we actually have now….

Paralyzed Power

And an abandoned one at that... At least that far up the state it isn't as infected by the Goofy Gestapo or Mickey Militia as it is the further you head south... I learned the hard way never to mess with the Mickey Mouth Club or the Goofy Gang. Granted unrelated but for those out there unaware the Disney compound does in fact have it's own detention center...

C.D. Strahle

I just got home from work Charlotte, can I have a hug?

Matt Curley

Interesting take. In other news, I was laughed out of AP European History for pronouncing Jesuits like an "H" as in (Hey Suits) and I thought the Pontiff was the town "Crier"

Matt Curley

I too was surprised that I hadn't heard of it.

Matt Curley

(Read to the voice of Hecklefish) Dave Grohl hadn't even been born yet.

Matt Curley

I'm game, however, considering this was the '70s, there's a good chance that its a strip mall now.

Matt Curley

The only thing surprising about this presentation is that the Navy gave back the sphere the first time. The government NEVER gives anything back. C'mon. It won't be until we've perfected fusion that we will be able to develop 'heavy elements'. So nobody get their hopes up.

Matt Curley

HeckleFish singing “Foo Fighters” is epic…I have never heard this story, and the episode was well done…love this channel!!

Skeptical_Savage

This was pretty amazing. I had never heard of this before. Thanks!

Angela Moreau

Great video!!

Crazy World

Lets just hope the warehouse wasn't the Oak Island underground storeroom, flooded with seawater for the past 200+ years. I read somewhere they finally found something major this year, but was told someone always says that before each season's release. It's a mystery I've been aware of as long as I remember.

Separate halves, threaded together tightly, finished on a lathe and polished after can hide a seam. My dad used to make a bolt with a nut threaded on it that could be run from one end to the other (all made from the same piece of steel) and it had no discernible seams anywhere. Machinists with 30 or more years of experience would be at a loss to explain it, but a seam was there and not visible, even looking right at it. However, even with a hidden seam, it wouldn't explain the ball's (or bawl's) freakish behavior.

Vince In Houston

That more often than not, seems to be the way of it, doesn't it? I would think in this case the government would get posession of it and not allow it to be snagged by someone that put it away and presumably forgot about it in their closet. It doesn't pass the sniff test for me. Great story though!

Vince In Houston

Loved the show!!! And I love how HeckleFish can “say” stuff that AJ can’t - amazing foil! Thank you for an amazing channel!

David y Cari

Always the items go missing ….. always… 😏😒

Victoria

I know. But there is something to be said for anticipation and I missed last week's so I kinda want to make up for it. Plus..... I am yet to find a heckle as brilliant as Sir HF's "a call to boobies!" on the Boobquake episode 🤣🤣. I loved the light-heartedness of it and the quirky coincidence that an earthquake actually happened on the day!!

Stella.R

Stella.R, nothing says you can’t do both.

MikeD

I think I know this one. But before I watch it here I am going to wait for the YT premier. I want to try catching more of those

Stella.R

Another great story. Loved it. Thank you!

John Paul Allen

Love it, great story and so well told.

Patch

Something that puzzles me is, they found it in the woods and brought it home, cool deal. Did anyone ever think to go back and do a radius search around from the point of origin? If it was debris leftover from something that wouldn't be the only fragment etc.

C.D. Strahle

My question is: Where they originally found the sphere there is mention of burnt forest land surrounding the area…was there any kind of impact crater which one would find as evidence of a meteor? Another stellar episode AJ and HK ( I will get a petition going for an HK cover album if I have to )!

Noah Laughton

And … 👏⭐️⭐️👏👏 to AJ and team…. Thank you…

Charly H

A seed from afar, hopefully it escaped and now is germinating in someone’s closet. … watching…. Learning… Good video as always! HF… a hug you little soprano… 😘🥰

Charly H

Hell ya bud. I was unaware it had been swapped out and kept. I was under the impression it was simply damaged through experiments and stopped working. Great job as always man.

Levi Hart

Another great episode. Thank you.

Kazren

Thinkin' it could also have been manufactured by way of a mold/form that was a pour-fill, and thus seemless. Whatever was inside could have been included in the mold process in some way, I'm sure. No idea how to explain the rest of it though! Terrificly fascinating!

Ken Swisher

Hecklefish song cover album coming for Christmas???

David Eugene

Great story!

Tat Bestand

If that was found today by a kid they would think nothing of it moving on it's own lol So many wireless and bluetooth toys around . But in the 70's all you had was a slinky ;) by you I mean me .. ya I am that old hah Great story! I love these kinds of stories :)

Vicky Humphrey

Ok, who took my comment? Hecklefish, c'mon...I know it was you... *wink*😉

Danika

One of the many wonders of our known world

Danika

Thanks for all your hard work! Awesome story :) Never heard of it before...

Any welder and or fitter knows you flap out a weld on say stainless steel and the weld seems to disappear. A symbol is etched into it, well that spells secret societies, (Jordan Maxwell). NASA was a group of highly Intelligent men from the Jet Propulsion Lab lead by occultist and sex magician Jack Parsons and run by NAZI paperclip physicists like Wernher Von Braun and SS officer occultist in Germany. It doesn’t get stranger than the supposed “X Tech” files of Presidents. Men like Eisenhower, Nixon, Kennedy, Reagan and the always usual suspect Bush senior. The story goes that a small group of men being passed off as aliens from another world,(Tall Blondes), are in fact the hero’s of Freemasons and Mormons using pyramid schemes for ages to safeguard themselves, (and the earth from bad aliens), while enjoying global power. They or rather their ancestors invented UFO technology ages ago. They practice , (Duality), Demonology and pretend to fight religious demonologies with this tech use and scare the shit out of anyone they need to use and keep quiet. The slaves are rewarded well but must never tell what they know. Every mystery school is really a construct containing only the truth of their pyramid scheme to control people who believe something other than the scheme itself is what’s happening. Good people follow , the leaders are gathering influence, money and power with the uninitiated and initiated alike. Ever see the “Society of Jesus “ Hall at the Vatican? Not a single crucifix in the entire building! CHRISTIANITY is a mystery school of these Blondes with Jesuits, ( Intellectuals of Catholicism), as the guide and provocateurs of the “Faith”, leading the sheep right to the wolves. Lol A ball, technology or magic , (Technology looks like magic to the unknowing), maybe a tall Blonde pyramid scheme to see what is never to be explained and then disappeared to make another mystery to chase down the rabbit hole.

That's the shortest 20 minutes of the week. Fantastic, I really enjoyed it.

I'd need a ghost writer. You know a guy? :P

Jim Hoffman

I believe that warehouse (in some form) exists...

The Why Files

I hope I do it justice. I was able to find some new info that wasn't in the earlier reporting.

The Why Files

You might have the most interest family history of anyone I've ever met. Write your memoir!
