Forbidden Archaeology: Lost Giants of America | The Smithsonian's Biggest Secret

of a giant people defeated by the natives near Lovelock, Nevada. The last of the giants met their fiery end deep within the bowels of a cave.
Reid’s belief in this legend stirred great interest in the secrets held within Lovelock Cave.
Official excavations were undertaken in both 1912 and 1924 by the University of California, with reports telling of thousands of artifacts being recovered. Of these artifacts, the most puzzling were human remains. Well, they were *almost* human.
Skeletons measuring between eight and ten feet tall were said to be found during the dig. Skeletons belonging to who are now known as “The Lovelock Giants.”
Legends of people of enormous size are told across a myriad of cultures, And despite what we’ve been told by *mainstream* science, there *is* evidence to suggest they really existed. The remains of giants have been found all over the United States; and all over the world.
So why aren’t these amazing finds on display in any museum? Or taught in any classes? Or mentioned in any history books?
Because the existence of giants, for some reason, has been covered up.

I could see your point, but it seemed a hell of a reach. And now this about Graham Hancock. You question the idea of it 'being allowed', but the show had to be commissioned and paid for - so yes, the concept of 'being allowed' seems justified. It's the Netflix subscribers' inflated fees which are paying for it - did they want it? They seem to be losing a lot of the things they do want just now, and ending up with questionable content they didn't ask for. But towards the end of the piece, the Guardian actually clarifies completely: the person responsible for commissioning this show is Hancock's son. Are you still so sure they were out of order in asking how it was 'allowed'? I note you don't present any evidence of Hapgood being dismissed as a crank, even if his critics might have liked to believe it. That section of your video was pure polemic, and I subbed to this channel because it presented interesting and unusual subjects in an objective manner which manages to be both scholarly and entertaining. I don't want polemic - I have my own opinions and a sufficiently high IQ to work out what I think about stuff without help. The video would have been fine without the rant about who society calls 'comspiracy theorists'. And it felt like a tangent. You don't address any possible reasons WHY this stuff might be suppressed. Why can the world cope with the idea of giant lizards but not with the idea of giant humans/giant great apes? The whole subject of narrative control could occupy several videos - it's a tricky subject, hugely relevant just now (though when wasn't it?) and something your demographic is likely to be fascinated with. As for 'alternative history' - I'm inclined to think that's an unhelpful term. Until recently, 'history from below' might have been called 'alternative'. If people assemble the facts and the records and present the evidence honestly and objectively, less well known sections of history will cease to be alternative. But not like this, where you're effectively agreeing that it is alternative and somehow separate from the mainstream.

They said average height of a man in the 1800s was 5'8". I am 6'0". I saw a building that was built then and I had to stoop a bit inside. Most ceilings were about 6'. LOL Life would suck for a tall guy back then.

A few years ago I saw something claiming that the flood isn't real because a lot of ancient cultures had a myth of a great flood. Isn't it more logical to believe that there was one since so many cultures tell of it? I'm still not totally convinced that giants are all a hoax. Great show as always.
