The continent of Lemuria is a massive landmass believed to have sunk in the Indian Ocean after some ancient, catastrophic event.
Atlantis and Lemuria are similar in that they’ve sparked numerous theories, legends and interpretations.
But Atlantis and Lemuria are very different in one way. There’s no proof of Atlantis.

Wikipedia has a good map of it, and it looks suspiciously like the hypothesized Lemuria and fits the geographic and fossil record bills. The problem is the timing. 200 million years ago would be early Jurassic period. Additionally it took at least 25 million years for the drift to occur, and is still going on.

There is a sprinkle of religion, myth, the supernatural, history, archaeology, science, even some maps thrown in. These episodes provoke deep thought and inspire big questions, and a big desire to know a lot more. The extra work these type of episodes require is obvious, and like posting resources, greatly appreciated. Thank you for all of it. On a different note (see what I did there?), the outro song is ABSOLUTELY PERFECTION!! I keep playing it over and over!! MORE GERTIE- made me giddy happy. I love Gertie—more Gertie and HeckleLord—do I smell backstory? A franchise?!?!? She’s so enigmatic. Is there a dark secret buried in their relationship- like the skeletons in your closet? I've been watching Graham Hancock's Ancient Apocalypse in the last week, and it's all fascinating. I don't understand why science is so arrogant to insist that current knowledge is all there can be, especially when developments are happening all the time.
