Skyquakes and Sky Trumpets | Terrifying Sounds that Signal the End of the World

The Book of Revelation says the end of the world will be announced with the sound of seven trumpets. Each blowing of the trumpet brings a new apocalyptic event. After the seventh trumpet: armageddon.

For centuries, people have reported low-frequency hums, the crack of thunder on a clear day and the sound of cannon-fire in the middle of nowhere.

Mysterious sounds have been heard at the bottom of the ocean and in outer space. And they’ve been heard long before modern machines and industry.

Recently, people have been recording and sharing videos of these loud, unnatural sounds.

And some of them? They sound a lot like trumpets.

i would imagine since the concept of time many have thought the the change of the centuries was bringing an end of some type. i was always interested in the Mayan calendar and the 2012 end date of a period of time. Maybe it is hardwired in to us, a way to organize it so our brains can cope with time?

David Leatherman

Maybe the sounds are our host organizm talking to its celestial neighbors. Probably complaining about the organisms that keep hurting it.

April

This was always one of my favorite episodes. As a person who heard the sky trumpets for over three minutes in broward county , florida. Cars were pulled over people were standing around looking up down left, right? Because nobody could figure out where the sound was actually coming from which direction. Haarp had been doing Research In the everglades about ten miles west of where I was Is where the everglades starts but that is certainly where they were Publicly acknowledging doing experiments, and while they were out there doing the experiments, I saw lightning storms so intense that there was always lightning in the sky, meaning before one bolt had a chance for the light to day. Ichapate another one was already visible, they were the most intense lightning storms. I had ever seen in my life. And there wasn't much thunder associated with them whatsoever. Just a few. Things of thunder. This episode when i first saw it, made.me very excited!! -is something that I do not understand.

Shire

I can't get on tips website. What about the arrow landing strip on Google earth maps in the Gulf of California? Probably picture markers for G Earth.

Denis Burr

Yes I heard 56 honestly listened several times headphones on and off, I was kinda disappointed it wasn't 42 (Douglas adams) or was it 47?

Karl poff

It is! That’s the only device I really use.

Wilma Titzgreaux

I grew up in a small farming community. Nebraska City, NE. We experienced the "horns" for over an hour. We panicked & belived it was the end. To this day, no explanation. I now live in IA. I have experienced 2 "booms" in 3 years. that shook us & caused furniture to tip over & items fell out of our kitchen cabinets. It was as if Thor himself dropped his hammer right on top of our house. Again, no explanations.

TheArchess

Brilliant as always.

Sound and unusual things

Steve Gold

I've heard of other people that have that issue. That must be really frustrating to not be able to find what's causing it.

LeahR1991

I, for one, would love to hear it!

DS_the_RN

How do you guys simulate the voices of Jeff Daniels, Morgan Freeman, and Patrick Stewart?

Hank Meyer

I’m sorry🥲🥲🥲. But it is real

Wilma Titzgreaux

Me too

Bosco Lemonzit

I keep coming over to patreon to see if I’m missing anything! #FOMOISREAL 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Wilma Titzgreaux

Didn’t have a chance to watch the video till today - FANTASTIC! And also quite eerie - thank you AJ and team

Peter Anniko

Absolutely terrific show! AJ and Heckle fish rule!

Pastor Sasquatch

I live in the UK and the town I live near has a thing for many years called the Dunstable hum? no one has ever been able to locate the source, I've heard it and it sounds like a factory/mechanical noise but people have been to the local factories and haven't been able to discover the source?. Locally the rest of the county is mainly countryside apart from a zoo? it happens to be the largest in the UK but again, nothing here, it's a mystery to this day, I shall try and record it... Keep up the good work and thanks for all you do AJ and team..Sending love from across the pond..X

Paul Hutt

Same!

TheArchess

Well stated. ❤️‍🩹

TheArchess

Thank you for this video and especially the part about your father. I lost my mother a year and a half ago and she has been sick for a long time as well. I had been grieving for so long watching her suffer that when she died - even though it was incredibly difficult- I felt a sense of relief. Relief that prayer had been answered and she was no longer suffering and relief that I no longer had to watch her slowly dying. I can now focus on the wonderful memories that I have of her and the those overshadow the memories of her death. Thank you again for your channel.

DBS PURGE

Loved it, because it hit home!!! I was getting to work one morning and the roads around the building were empty, no one walking anywhere. Then I hear one of those trumpets and it was loud! Just happened to pull the cell phone and capture video. Heart started racing to say the least.

Ellis Ray

Another amazing episode! As an early fan of the channel? I love how you are starting to come full circle with your episodes by exploring interesting content,; while retuning to your true origins of positively focusing on the ideas of human capacity, curiosity & necessity to protect; rather than ending each episode with common debunking theories. Thank you for choosing to return to being the channel where “People with high IQs come to laugh and learn” while balancing it with your need to please and again YouTube subscribers. Until next time? Please know that you are appreciated.

Susan Towers

I took my dad through Alzheimer’s from 2009 to 2013 when he passed away. It’s been 10 years I’m still not over it. TV shows reading articles in the news sometimes not doing anything and just thinking about it. I just start crying.

Bosco Lemonzit

Always better to have emergency supplies and not need them than to need them and not have them. Just buy a few extra things each week (especially if it's on sale) and before you know it you will have a nice stockpile of extra stuff. It's also helped a lot of people who have gotten sick or laid off. Also a hedge against inflation.

Brenda H

Amazing episode! Thank you for sharing such a touching story about your Father. I also process like you do.

Tiph Tobie

I can hear a high pitched hum in my home town of Yellowknife, NT Canada My husband hears it too, but I’ve never thought to ask anyone else if they can hear it. It makes me feel angry.

Sarah Wedel

I’d cry if I heard that

Sarah Wedel

Great episode👍

JD

Another excellent episode. The last few have been outstanding.

Don Stewart

This was one of the best

Mike McLoud

Wtf San Antonio?!?!???!!

No Way Jose

AJ's conversation at the end, while everyone has focused on the parental deaths and dying, but I liked the conversation of mental exercises. My mind draws decision trees, constantly, of all the possibilities. Some say that I worry to much, but to me it's not worrying, it's looking at all the possible outcomes, what is probable and what is not, and mentally role playing thru them so if they do occur, I've already run it in my head ad nauseam so I'm not freaking out in a crisis but keep my head. Though there are things that do occur, no matter how many times they play out in your brain, it's still a gut punch.

Bosco Lemonzit

At 3:37 I was all "Pah, it's just foghorns, it's always foggy in San Francisco". Then I realised you said San Antonio, and while my US geography isn't great, I'm pretty sure San Antonio isn't coastal. But it still sounded like the foghorns we have in England when it's, er, foggy.

Susi Su

But... but my video isn't playing 😞

Blackout

Best way to start my Friday!!

Liz Jacoby

Thank you, Team WhyFiles. Can’t wait to see the next episode. It’s always a treat to satisfy my inner nerd.

Jen Giresi

Most interesting and perhaps even fascinating episode yet.

BROKOR

Another fantastic topic and magnificent presentation! You guys are just remarkable!

Philip Booth

Fascinating. Absolutely fascinating.

Seb

It's quite inspiring to see that a good few other people are able to share their grief with us all. My friend once told me that losing a parent is like becoming a member of the worst club in the world. It is so true and so so sad.

Jackson

Banging episode again folks! I don't know which I am, when my dad passed it was a while before it hit me. He was ill for so long it was a relief in a way. When my mum passed, she had just been diagnosed with the big C, and I switched off mentally until well after she passed, but it completely shattered me when it eventually hit about a year after she died. It messed with my head, and has taken a few years to fully process... But the noises... I remember hearing about these a good while ago and was even looking them up only recently! Has Hecklefish turned into Hackerfish and decided to spy on me? 🤔

Jackson

Absolutely spot on with your description of dealing with death. My mom was ill for years so I expected it, but Dad was devastated after 50 years of marriage. You, Hecklefish and crew are amazing! Keep up the good work and I ordered Hecklefish plushies for Christmas!!

Liz Barton

AJ IS A MAN OF HIS WORD. 2 MONTHS AGO A $500 SUPER STOCKER CAME IN. AJ SAID HE WOULF ADD harp to the video kn skyquakea. And he did.

John McGuire

You can't hear sounds from space (in space no one can hear you scream).

Jaime Drysdale

This terrified me! Great episode tho! As always, Great job & Thank you all for all the hard work you, AJ, Heckle Fish, and the wonderful team for working your arses off! Love you all ❤️🥰💞

Patti (Pads)

Interesting as always, thank you! I was the same when my dad died, people didn't understand, but we all knew he was dying (colorectal cancer). One thing if you read this, I listened to your response to a question about covering a topic, and you said if you could figure a way to get around the YouTube algorithm, you would. Can't you just put more "fringe" subject matter here or on Rumble or something? Thanks.

DoubleR

Absolutely marvelous! I love that I'm never able to predict the topic of the next episode. Very nicely done, cheers!

thormusique

I love your description of your state of mind with grief. I recently lost both of my parents and like you I knew my father was sick and soon to go. I felt at the time that he was relieved of that pain and suffering so in a way I was overjoyed for him that his suffering had ended and I finally could stop grieving in my mind for the years I had done so. With my mother, she went very suddenly, but a different wave of acceptance came as I had really been grieving for both my parents at once. Knowing my father was going to pass soon and that my mothers suffering of his loss would begin. Thank you for that explanation...it's hard to explain yourself in the moment of loss why you're not busted up over it, but this is basically it.

Scott.Wayne

I loved the tribute to your father. Thank you for all you do!

Oliver Moreno

The aurora borealis DOES produce sound. I've heard it myself. Haven't heard any sky trumpets or sky quakes though.

akio

Watching on YouTube now! Let's goooo!!!!

Shadow Rose

Verry Excellent Episode , I've heard eerily similar noises and metallic voices coming from the sky in my frequent post apocalyptic dreams.

Heft 42°

Another episode I didn't know I needed.

AIRBORNE77 XXX

Awesome and informative episode thanks

Nelson Roche Jr

I can remember hearing the 'Singing Spirits' back in the late 50s as a kid. We lived in Syracuse, and my Dad's cousin lived in Skaneateles. We used to pick her up on weekends and drive up to Seneca Lake so she and my Mom could go on a shopping spree while Dad and I had lunch over at one of the many nice waterfront cafes. It was at those times I could hear them over the lake as we ate. =)

Maddoktor2

This was a great one.

Jeff Wallace

We thought it sounded like “Reset”

Nikki

I’ve never heard the sounds, but I am fascinated by them. As a Christian, I do believe Christ will return but I don’t know if these sounds are tied to it. Interesting thoughts! AJ, I am so sorry about your dad. I am coming up on the second anniversary of my dad’s passing. I wish I had been more prepared for both my parents’ loss as it was 3 months apart, but I realize I was very lucky as while my parents were both fighting cancer, they were able to still be active until their last few months on this Earth. Thank you again for a wonderfully educational and entertaining show. Wish they were longer!

NikkiBubblesMom

As always, another great episode as well as some of the very best entertainment to be found anywhere on the world wide interweb of... Stuff! I do love's me some Heckle-Fish! AOBTW: Should you be so very lucky, do score a Zug island international surfing championship T-Shirt, they are quite nearly as rare as an honest politician!

Mustafa's Fleas

I like to call these god farts!

Safe and effective!

Fascinating! Yes, I have been thinking more and more about it. The end. And I am starting with stocking up toilet paper rolls in my basement. Although I have no idea why that would make any difference when the time comes. LOL. I may be better off filling up my basement with Costco dry food or something. Maybe the apocalypse will never come during my life time. My basement will look very silly if that's the case. But hey, who knows, right? I guess it is the unknown and uncertainty that keeps us awake at night.

Steven Shi

I’m making my tin foil hat now!

Kathleen Dorney

Just at the tale end with my headphones on, without the headphones it was just noise

Karl poff

Why can I never see/hear cool shit like this? Never seen an alien, a ghost, or a cryptid, and never heard crazy sounds from the sky. Ughhh I'm so boring :(

Chase Schleich

Great eps tonight!!!

Charles Bonetti

I just emailed you from my gmail address. You can respond there with pics, if you like. 🐟❤️

Robert Smith

This is the only show I watch religiously and have gone back and rewatched certain episodes! AJ, Hecklefish and the team do a fantastic job investigating topics we all wonder about. Love you guys!

Wendaruth

Hey you all, as a Christian we're down with the end of the world thingy. We have tried to send y'all pictures with merch but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. 🤷 Could you please reach out so we can get you pics? Thx kids! Keep up the fabulous work. peyronsinjesus@yahoo.com

Mark and Debbie Peyron

Please accept my condolences regarding the passing of your father, AJ.

Raj Narula Trombone

It was one of the samples - we have not found THE one yet.

The Why Files

Great episode! Hecklefish's theory about the angels starting a jazz band made me literally lol 😂. I feel ya, AJ. I mourned my mom for years, as the person she was disappeared before she passed away. Thanks for educating, entertaining, and most of all, keeping it real.

Pete Mitchell

I just love The Why Files 🙂

NorthwoodsJen

❤️ Only you, dear Hecklefish, can get me to create a YouTube account and subscribe! You, sir, are the best.

Amy_OnlyForHecklefish

Love your name!!!! ~Hecklefish

The Why Files

Ok so I listened to the biotwang with my headset off, didn't hear 56, put them back on I heard 56 again.....

Karl poff

Yes, what you said about someone passing after a long illness or slow decline for some it can emotionally be a relief, also a relief that person isn't suffering anymore, I've seen this happen quite a lot.

Lorem Ipsum

Loved it! Great episode

Jen Giresi

Is that a new tin foil hat on Hecklefish?

Kevin Heidler

Another banger as usual. I have the flu so I think I’ll go back and watch some oldies. Perfect season for ‘em.

Amy_OnlyForHecklefish

Yeah, there’s that interpretation, I’ve always looked at the book of revelation as a history - I mean look at the four Horsemen, all that stuff already exist, and has since mankind started; wars, 1/4 starving etc - so I always look at it as a history book from beginning to end as the beginning of human life, and the end of it. But that is also one of many interpretations.

Bosco Lemonzit

That's got to be a shirt or mug or something: "Biotwang. The most relaxing tomatoes you've ever had."

Trevor Valentine

Golly G what to do what to do tonight the Bears are on Thursday night football or I can watch the Why Files. you know even if the Bears were four and zero, it’s really not a contest I’m taking the Files

Bosco Lemonzit

Ha! No, they just dropped it, it just became a non-topic. You know how that goes. Lots of people came out to watch for them! Lol!

Amy_OnlyForHecklefish

Did they ever figure out that drone thing two or three years ago where there were like dozens to hundreds of drones flying around eastern Colorado?

Bosco Lemonzit

Ok did anyone else hear (what sounded like) 56 at the end of the biotwang

Karl poff

was a good one, enjoyed it the military experiment angle might be an interesting one on this... anyhow a rather relatable episode, second best after the X-Files... ;)

The Neoborn Caveman Show

The first time I heard of this I saw it on YouTube's secureteam10, and he has several video's of these strange noises.

John Seychel

True.😊

Trodden An3urysm

I guess I should just accept my lot in life because I always finish somewhere between fourth and 10th. I just take happiness and joy in that. embrace my loserness

Bosco Lemonzit

The book of Revelation is about the 70AD fall of Jerusalem. Many people aren’t aware of just how many events prior to it actually happened just as John’s book predicted a few years prior (not 95AD as some sources insist) when he was writing it. I don’t discount that it could have a double-meaning about the ‘end of the world’, tho. 😁

Jeremy Shorter

Great video, yet we still don't know really what's causing all these sounds.

Scott Chervinski

I can't wait for the premier tonight!

CJ Jones

Another GREAT episode!!!!!

Carla Di Paola

Thanks, I loved it, and wether you have a faith or not , I can not deny a creator, also as much as there is a beginning there has to be an end !love yall!

Tanya Hawkes

HAARP, or MJ-12, If not,,,,,, only one thing to do? Get under our Kitchen Table and kiss our asses goodbye if it is the end of times, but just watch Why Files, and at least we will go out watching and laughing to Heckelfish jabbing A.J. !!!!!! LMAO, You two are the Bomb !

J.J. Bell

I just love the commentary by Hecklefish! I think this is one of my favorite episodes so far and I love so many of them! <3

DonnaG

Such a great episode!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Aleksandra Dickinson

Super episode AJ! I enjoy them all. But why on earth do you wonder why we'd love a Hecklefish plushie?!? He's downright adorable! Mine is on the way, just landed in western Canada somewhere, from Hongkong... that fish loves travelling! I'm in Montreal and Thursdays can't happen fast enough! Keep up the good work, you'll be getting a pic of Hecklefish with me soon!

Guylaine Boivin

Hecklefish I was having some relaxing tomatoes watching you !! Absolutely perfection 😂😅

Tammie Harper~Wilson ❤️

Is it possible the underwater sounds are a combination of pressure, energy, & whatever creatures exist within it? We don't have that type of pressure on land so how do we know how it can affect sound. Sound travels in waves so I can't imagine what we may hear under such pressure with what's gathered along these waves.

Petrina B

The great thing is you will never run out of ideas. I git 2 I jusy gotta send them. I already sent the missing physicist....no glasses hope I git the correct keys...lol

Kevin Via

Are we having fun yet? Lol end of the world, wtf. Ha ha ha

Mark william lane

Great episode. Thanks like always. One interesting thing to go along with this would be Robert Duncan, his research at DARPA and the connection it has to Havana Syndrome.

Trevor Norris

Some of these make me think the firmament is about to start raining down 😅. Which makes me think they're more likely some kind of psyop. And when wondering why, the simplest answer is of course that they have something to hide. As for what that could possibly be... Well that biotang sounds a lot like a deep sea cooling vent, or something of the sort, and a lot of these others, sound a lot like DUMB construction programs 🤷

Brian Jackson

Oh my, another great one! And thank you for helping us preppers feel a little less crazy. 😊 We live in the Grasslands of northeastern Colorado with lots of space around us. This is also where people come to enjoy the range, and we hear the sounds of freedom all the time (as a firearms instructor, I love it). However, occasionally there are loud booms that shake the house that we cannot explain. Our first thought is to look to the oil tank batteries nearby, but they're always fine. My theory is earth sounds. We don't think people are taking cannons to the range. Lol! But not even our large calibers on our private range shake the house. Great topic, great knowledge. Thanks yet again!!

Amy_OnlyForHecklefish

No issues. Didn't take it as a complaint at all. I heard it too, so basically confirming.

MikeD

Oh Hecklefish… I too have had some relaxing tomatoes. 🤣😂

FNōRDiskōrd Rekörds

Great episode! I'm glad you debunked some of it, but there are still doubts. I do wonder if a tin-foil hat will stop tinnitus. Guess I'll be trying that later. Oh, I got my Hecklefish yesterday. He is amazing!!!

Colin Butterworth

My dad used to terrify me with his obsession over revelations. Luckily I became an adult and distanced from the fear mongering. The sounds at the bottom of the oceans are clearly the civilization that flies the UFOs. :) Fun feature was always, thanks!

Donovan Young

Another absolutely fantastic video! Thank you! ♥️👍💪

!!@@Tomasz Mis@@!!

Great 👍 video! 🍻 cheers folks! I’ve a s/w push tonight so I’m glad we get ‘early access’! 😎

Garry Piatt

That was a lot of fun. I always enjoy a good end of the world story. Since I am Catholic and a believer, waiting for the trumpets to sound is a "lot" scary.

John Edgeworth

Another great one!

SnowCrash

Bosco, take comfort knowing you were 10th this week!

MikeD

Not complaining. Just seeing if anyone else heard that.

Christopher Troksa

I seem to remember AJ saying that episode could be up to an hour, or maybe he was referring to the Knights Templar episode. Either way, I'm sure its, or both, are still undergoing more research.

MikeD

Great episode

rob denton

I littteraly just laughed abruptly and out loud reading your comment 😂 Nice one!

TheArchess

Thank you so much for another top quality upload AJ. And Hecklefish never disappoints with his hilarious interruptions :)

Mik Smith

Another classic Aj- I really enjoyed this one! Brill 🧡from England.

Julia Fox

It all started w/ Trump-Pence /rimshot /I'll let myself out

H&M Overland Adventures

OMG! This is one of my favorite phenomenons. I went down a huge rabbit (not Mel's) hole a couple years ago on this. Can't wait to watch it live tonight.

Dennis Brekke

Liked it good ep thx and btw do there was crop circle reported same time of wow signal?

Mhayen

I am 4 minutes into this video and really hoping AJ can debunk this one cause it's freaking creepy.

CF

So, if this world is a simulation, the sounds come from outside the simulation?

William Matthews

I always figured they were digging tunnels

Bosco Lemonzit

Any afterfiles today?

Ron Klotzer

Really? I took 15 minutes to eat my dinner quietly and you posted while I was eating so I couldn’t be first. Grrrr!

Bosco Lemonzit

I used to play the trumpet. It destroyed my dogs ears! lol.

Ron Klotzer

HAARP maybe?

Bryan Scott Hardie

I thought it was Gobekli Tepe week.

Christopher Troksa

The sky trumpets have unsettled me quite a bit.

Tami Harris

WOW! A 21-trumpet salute to a humdinger of an episode.

MikeD

A new Why Files video is always reason to be excited.

MikeD

Man I can’t tell you how many times I have heard that incredibly loud scraping against metal sound, and absolutely no one knows where it comes from. Sounds like if you were to take a football field sized metal sheet and scrape it with the wing tip of a passing 737, that’s about the only way to describe the magnitude of the sound. And around where I live in a somewhat rural area, no one has any idea what the fk it is. Well, we, the peon tax payers have no idea, but the useless worthless puke bags in “gov” definitely know.

John Hobart

As am I!!!

Loolykins

Love your work team!

Drew Lane

Ok, I am way more excited for this than I should be...
