Göbekli Tepe and the Prophecy of the Vulture Stone

We are the descendants of an ancient civilization; one which mastered technology, mapped the cosmos, and understood our relationship with the natural world.

Our ancestors traveled the world and built enormous structures. They scaled their creations into cities.

They shared a common governance and similar religious beliefs.

Our ancestors lived, as we do today, as a global society.

Around 14,500 years ago, this global superpower started to collapse.

First came uncontrollable change, and then a cataclysm. In less than a week, everything and almost everyone was gone.

Those left behind built monuments. Monuments not as tributes to Gods or homage to kings. The monuments are a warning to future generations: to us. That warning is simple: danger is coming.

Our civilization has ended before. And it will end again.

This is a one story Big Archaeology and world governments don’t want you to know. Once you hear it, you’ll never trust them again.

Because the danger that’s coming? There’s nothing they can do to stop it.

Love your work, AJ and team!! Another great episode!! Thank you so much for delivering such great content!!

David Parisi

Story on Nephilim.

Ideas Chernobyl, Russian nuclear disaster. Ananocken (spelling?) visitors. Arizona Lights (unidentified lights over Phoenix a few years ago with thousands of witnesses). Resent alien testimonies about alien visitors in Congress).

This is an amazing episode. I am a history nerd and this just made me full of glee :) Thanks for the episode!

Tiph Tobie

You guys know I love you, and this was a great episode, but I need to point out that you spent a lot of time bashing "Big Archaeology," but it is only through the hard work and diligence of archaeologists around the world that you had any of this information. I know several archaeologists who are passionate about their work and excited about anything that sheds better light on our past. I guess there can be said to be a "mainstream" perspective of the past, but only one that has developed naturally over the course of human history, and this perspective is being avidly and energetically tested with each discovery, and weighed and evaluated against new evidence as it emerges. Sure, it takes time for the "mainstream" view to adjust to new facts, but that's how all scientific progress is - it's a painstakingly slow process. But that doesn't mean that there is somehow a "Big Archaeology," (which would require a world-wide cabal of archaeologists, geologists, climatologists, and so many other deeply-entwined sciences to make any sort of sense) holding back intellectual progress. It's more likely that Hecklefish's Lizzid People are really in charge of the world than such an organization could actually exist. Please take all this with love and respect, which is how I mean it, because you guys are nothing if not entertaining and talented, and I appreciate all you do, but I know too many hardworking people in that field not to appreciate all they're doing, too.

This was posted a few days ago by the Nasa Meteor Watch Bright fireball off the coast of Long Island last night just after 7 PM local last night (November 2) Numerous eyewitnesses in the states of Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire have filed reports with the American Meteor Society of a bright fireball seen at 7:10 PM Eastern Daylight Time last evening (November 2). An analysis of their accounts, combined with information from the World Trade Center and Onset EarthCams, indicates that the meteor first appeared 65 miles above a point in the Atlantic Ocean 81 miles from Smith Point on Long Island. Moving south of east at 116,000 miles per hour, it traveled some 83 miles through the upper atmosphere before disintegrating 49 miles above the ocean.

Scott Chervinski

Best episode to date......and a bit unnerving to say the least.

Craig Blevins

Crazy how this show just gets better and better. I look forward to Why Files every week and it never disappoints. Keep up the great work!

Jake Sheehan

New favorite episode! It’s been 24 hours and it’s all I’ve been thinking about. The impending doom of an asteroid makes me happy, not upset. Life is short, enjoy it why you still can!

Gator

This is the only show I look forward to on a weekly basis. Thank you for continuing to deliver greet content!

Son Gohan

Just when I thought you couldn't get better. You are shaming the mainstream, AJ. I'm so happy for you. Wishing you all continued success and many celebrations to come.

Paul A. Reid

What happened to Space Panda...??? Is he coming back???

Scott Chervinski

Would love to see an episode with Randall Carlson as a cohost….to show his research on mega floods and their scaring on the North American landscape

Robert Smith

This is my worst fear. An asteroid or comet hitting earth. That wall of water is beyond fearful. Great video as usual

Steven Chell

Holy Cow, A.J! First off, Ty for taking the time off you needed for you last week. Secondly? You were on fire in this episode! It felt like the early episodes, when you didn’t feel so bound by the algorithm: except better. This is absolutely my favorite episode, to date. Although the message isn’t warm, fuzzy, or totally debunked at the end? It’s the complete truth. Kudos to you for choosing genuineness over popularity. It’s nice to have the original A.J. back!

Susan Towers

Best episode ever!! Thank you for the amazing work!

Christine Atanasio

Interesting speculations. By the way, maybe you could do a show on GEnesis 6:4, Giants (Nephilim) who were born from angels and women....and picked us up and ate us for lunch breaks. Scholar and author Michael Heiser wrote several books on the subject. They were the ones who could pick up the humongous blocks of stone and create things at their height. The angels taught man all sorts of things, metalurgy, agriculture, building and so on. No big surprise that there was a sudden burst of knowledge. Eventually the giants lived all over the world, and because they were evil, God had enough and God flooded the earth to eliminate them. God was sorry He made man. But Noah had a pure blood line which means, future generations would not produce more nephilim. There were some surviving nephilim but as you know, they were eliminated by various civilizations ...such as Joshua and the Jews eliminating them from future-Israel. THis would be a good subject for you, since you already skirt around the biblical accounts now.

D Rose

This is a very sobering episode. Well done.

Rick Tucker

By far the best episode so far I can't even imagine what didn't make the show so looking forward to the long version podcast is there going to be one?

Wes Mail

Love the episode, as always. You guys are the best!

Tripal Helix

AJ like like like like like it like that. Big archaeology argh! More like Big Archo liers.,well they get it so often wrong one begins to get suspicious you know! Right?. Pleasure to join you an HF here on patreon. You are fast becoming my fave channel. Thank you. Hey heckle my name is Fish. I don't heckle much as you, but I do flip my fin on occasion "what you got to say about it? Hope you don't mind sharing" Fish out.

Fish

Fantastic episode! I have seen some really big fireballs watching the Taurids. Sobering episode, excellent reminder to make the most of each moment. This life is a gift to be enjoyed while we can!

Trish Edwards

Thanks for another great episode! It's just a matter of time before we go the way of our ancestors and the dinosaurs, so enjoy it while you can. Peace!

Pete Mitchell

This episode was dam good

Robert Boag

Gripping episode. Scary one too. Although sometimes, when you've had one of those days, you tend to find you're not overly fussed if it happens sooner rather than later! I'm definitely in the "Don't Want to Survive That Crap" camp. Now to go watch the "Live".

Susi Su

Those "lucky enough" to survive! Yyyyeah that's a no from me 😂

Adrian Nelson

Awesome stuff. It answers one question I've always had: why build megalithic structures at all? It was either easier to build them from giant slabs of granite than lots of little bricks (like we do), or it was through necessity. Looks like it was a necessity. Maybe they weren't tombs or temples, maybe they were bunkers... They just never needed them?

William Matthews

You know when you want find out something. You used to think "ask Google" or even "ask ChatGPT". Not anymore... now I think "I'll ask AJ!". Awesome video! Thank you 😊

Andrea Kennedy

Oh my AJ excellent episode I learned some new stuff I wasn’t aware how large it is lol

Steve Gold

Anyone else need a hug after this episode??? Great show guys, Heavy, but great.

Ellis Ray

Damn! Someone please tell Graham Hancock to watch this episode. LOL. I wonder what he will have to say. Once again, such a great job! Thank you, AJ and the team!

Steven Shi

71K!😳💥🥃👏👏👏 congratulations!!! 🍾🎉🎈🎊

Wilma Titzgreaux

Great Afterfiles tonight!!!!❤️

Wilma Titzgreaux

Great presentation. Thank you. I agree about ancient archeology

Kazren

Very interesting episode I was so hooked I wanted more. Any chance of you doing a much longer video? I really love the why files theme song, where can I get a copy of it.

Tracey Graham

Reggie Watts mentioned WF on JRE. I hope he has you on soon. You deserve the platform. Love you brother

Ryan Lorber

This is why we need to live our lives to the fullest. Thank you for educating us every week. Can’t wait to learn more.

Sonia Flores

Or ... maybe humans are iike ants and bees -- born with the knowledge of building structures and cities inherently ... bees have hives, ants have underground cities etc OR we are seeing remnants of old programming (if we are to believe that we are a simulation) and someone keeps hitting the pause button to keep improving on "the planet earth" experience...

Melanie Jo Simms

Top notch episode, AJ! Thursday Nights are my fav!

Solomon Gray

Like the library of Alexander, or the Great Flood to clean house on poor dna, it seems to be a regular agenda to break apart and restart over and over ... maybe one of these days, we will get it RIGHT. AJ gonna keep me up all night trying to discover the mysteries of the universe! Well if anyone can do it, AJ can...

Melanie Jo Simms

There is so much of our universe we don’t understand. Nice job AJ.

Duke

I'm in the same boat disabled but this is the only show I monetarily support... Good investment even though this one may give me nightmares...

Bonnie Buck

Best episode yet. Really really good! I learned new things about Gobekli tepe and the others.

Tonya Goodnow

Well someone needs to pay for dry cleaning... I can say my pants weren't brown lol.. Damn scary stuff especially since its freaking November... Way to cause a sleepless night A.J.... Still love you guys though... Sigh who else is up for a late night card game??

Bonnie Buck

Seriously, right?

Cheryl Fenner Brown

This was so anxiety provoking but SO worth it! New subscriber here and so happy to help support the channel!

Cheryl Fenner Brown

Definitely one of the better episodes. Keep up the great work!

Scott Wohler

Ahhh !! Hurricane season is wrapping up here in Florida, now I have this to worry me !!!

Jim Sharrow

OMG so that was why I saw the most briliant meteor lastnight? It was so beautiful. It burned the color of Luke Skywalker's blue lightsaber! The only reason I even got to see it, was because my dog needed to pee lol. He literally lead me to a spot, and while he was peeing, I looked up and saw it!

Shawn Grant

The best part of my week!

Sonia Flores

Welp. We are all dead. Awesome. Seems par for the course for 2023

No Way Jose

Holy live viewers !

Dan Whiffen

Thanks for keeping this one light AJ. Geez...

Brian Emerson

Best thing on these days. I love forbidden archaeology. 10/10

ryan reed

This is one of your best episodes yet ! , Excellent Job !!!

Heft 42°

very good interpretation and predictions of scenarios. definate good to know as we cannot stop meteor or asteroid showers or other things from outer space that would set off a sereies of chain events.

Robert Lloyd

Whoa 🤯 great episode!

toni

Georgia Guide stones RIP :-(

Jonathan Leiendecker

Heh...I see what you did there.

Blackout

I saw that too!!

Blackout

Yet again, great episode The Why Files Team! You never fail to deliver. Now waiting to watch later for "today's spahnsah"!

Blackout

Thank you AJ! As someone with a Carlin like philosophy the last 20 minutes were very reassuring.

Mushman

Well, you sure are a pot of positivity aren’t you? Kind of scared the crap out of me.🤣 Dam Big Archeology!😅 Excellent episode as always and, though I obviously don’t know for sure, a meteor impact seems like the most efficient way to wipe the slate clean, so to speak. Thanks AJ, Hecklefish and WF team for this one!

Joan Robinson

Great episode - Carpe Diem! 🫨

Russell Dodgson

Hey, guys, it was not funny at all. It was hitting too close home. One of the bests in The Why Files is the glimpse of hope (next to sarcasm) and this episode just missed it. Come on, there has to be a wilful Bruce Willis to land on that rock and frack it! - But sure, everyone is so keen on to talk about this and that weapon, yet, kinetic weapons are simply indefensible in large scale...

The Neoborn Caveman Show

Great episode. Just noticed the missing poster for Space Panda in the background!

Trevor Valentine

Just wow! AMAZING episode! Thank you for my weekly dose of existential dread. I mean this one had me rolling back from my desk and thinking, "That sucks. We are so dead."

Brenda Rush

My god there my new best episode great work rly liked this ep

Mhayen

Another BONZA episode. Perhaps a WHY FILES crash or construction helmet is required? A tin foil hat may not cut it when it comes to gigantic falling sky rocks! Lol. Keep up the great work and I reckon I’m not the only one to say the we are missing the After Files shows.

Gavin Evans

As the Wiseman once said... Ya'pays yer monies and ya'takes yer chances! Ya do "The Hokey Cokey" and you turn yer'self around, that's what it's all about!!!

Mustafa's Fleas

Well, now we know where all these trillions are going - towards all those underground safe locations

Bosco Lemonzit

Worth every moment of time watching! Another Grand Slam presentation, Thanks!! :-)

Rick Flynn

Bravo AJ !!! I believe this was the best episode yet I’m still gathering all the new information I’ve learned that I really didn’t know much about Amazing work Thanks

Nelson Roche Jr

After Files tonight? It's been too long.

Chase Schleich

TALK ABOUT A NAIL BITER!!! I had chills multiple times through this one! WOW, just WOW! 👏👏👏 fantastic job!!! The way you explained what will happen in the late part of the episode was incredible! Also LOL @ the Hecklefish Greta “how dare you” 😆😆😆

7Heather7

Well, all i can say is thanks for the existential dread AJ! amazing video and storytelling, as usual.

Dalyn Lipps

Damn Great Episode!

Safe and effective!

I'm out of good descriptive words....AMAZING!! I can't help but note that the destruction is similar to the pole shift. I love when you present info I didn't know, and I have new things to ponder!! We're gonna need that dream video soon...some of the descriptions match mydestruction dreams. I assume it's just because this stuff is on my mind, but ..... 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Amy_OnlyForHecklefish

I missed the last two premiers due to working on getting our shop ready to open. I’m glad I took an early off day to avoid getting burnt out only to find out that getting “burn out” is inevitable 😜. Loved the episode, enjoy the nap. ✌🏼🤘🏼🖖🏼

FNōRDiskōrd Rekörds

Awesome! Very thought provoking! Great sound effects!

Killik

Outstanding!!! This is so well done and explained... but I'm completely terrified. Keep it up!

DragonX2112

Great work AJ very interesting. I have heard numerous stories on GT

Robin Holden Sr

Great episode! We all really appreciate the amount of effort it takes to create such an amazing episode week after week. I continue to spread the word about The WhyFiles to everyone

TIMOTHY WILKENS

Another awesome episode.

Arminius

Best episode yet! Definitely worth a follow-up on the Ancient Civilization Theory.

Zane Nobbs

Gobeklitepe has astounded me since I found out about it. I had no idea that other sites had been discovered to expand the story. Thanks for the information and keep up the great work.

William Kennison

This was incredible, thanks AJ

Ryan Moser

Right on AJ. The best and most informative show yet. The Mayan super highway was white but deadly. One of the reasons they left the area. People were dying and they couldn't figure out it was the lead.

Emyz

HOW DARE YOU?!?

Bryan Scott Hardie

Mr Gentile I thank you so very much for all the work you and your team do to bring this show to us each week. Of all the shows I watch yours is the only one I support $. I’m disabled and must keep a close eye on my finances or I would increase my contribution to your channel. Thank you again! Please give my regards to Hecklefish.

David michael

Thanks. I’m terrified now 😆☄️💥

RoLo

Sounds like it, just about to watch now!

Blackout

Oh... this sounds like a good one! Still waiting on the Anunaki video team! 😆

Blackout

Outstanding episode 👏

Anita Sue Clark

Killed it dude — dam good job

Donovan Young

Great episode! Will watch it again tonight.

Jerry Long

Damn it! That damn video was damn good.

Colin Butterworth

Damn. Best one yet, AJ & Co. I also discovered Graham in the 90's and devoured every single book of his, and others, on this topic. It just makes sense to me and helps answer a lot of nagging questions I have about our distant past and the cyclic nature of our civilization(s). Gotta be honest, my stomach sank at that dramatic pause before you asked "but is it true?" :) Keep up the great work!

Jeff Okeson

Wow what a video

Shaun Murphy

Wasn't that the Almighty Rapture, was to come and collect the faithful prior to judgement day? It made no sense to me, but there's a lot of sucker's, obviously. The Seventh-day Adventist Church came from the rapture prophecies. I know it came from south west Lower Michigan, I know a bunch of them.

John Seychel

Love every episode but this was by far my favorite in a long time!!!! Thank you!!

Liz Jacoby

Mind blown!

Azle Roth

Talk about ominous! Loves the episode thanks for all the hard work! Love these longer deep dives!

Adam Hardenburgh

Absolutely Brilliant!

Jonathan Feldhauser

Well that episode was extremely depressing 🤣

Alan VanderKnight

Wonderful AJ You’ve done this subject proud 🧡✨

Julia Fox

Awesome episode 👏! Driving up to Northern Arizona tomorrow to find a big cave I can move into. 😀

Brenda H

Omg, omg, omg!! I can't wait to watch this!!

Amy_OnlyForHecklefish

(In my most hushed tone) okay, thanks🙂

Wilma Titzgreaux

Guess we should get serious about that Asteroid busting weapon…..

james lennox

Hi! I have made it clear the studio shall be quiet for nap time at 3pm - we hope tonight, I will send a message out soon!

The Why Files

My new favorite bed time story

Bradley Dishner

Gee, you sure know how to push to clouds back, AJ..LOL. Great episode!

Sibyle

Maybe the Annunaki will come and take away all the faithful. 😂☮️

Kyle Trimbach

Are you daft? Nota chance!

Kyle Trimbach

Awesome !!

Flip Elliott

F you. Being this good at storytelling is not ok. I had to literally take a break in the middle of the meteor shower story. It wasn't even the contents, the delivery alone shook me to my core.

Ivari Tölp

Excellent episode!!!

Janice Pinkston

Does anyone know when the next after party will be?

Wilma Titzgreaux

One of my all-time favourite topics, and covered beautifully! You guys rock, cheers!

thormusique

I don’t think he would relax. It would have to be some sort of an electronics-free vacation.

Wilma Titzgreaux

Think Graham Hancock... A maverick to big archeology.. Who I suspect is spot on with this.. Sitting on my conservatory with my cats and rabbit drinking twinnings tea.. Listening to AJ and Hecklefish.. Who cares if its lashing down outside here in the UK.. 😊😊

karen Hillyer

So good! Thank

Jedi Verse

Fantastic episode Thanks.

Sir Seth Taggart

Holy smokes!!!

Laurie C

I'm convinced that from here forth, any archeological or Paleolithic finds, shall be denoted with the phrase from Lindsay Nicole, "That we know of." This should help curb that 'hard facts' bs we keep running into lol.

VolCanixWorx Sadie

Very cool story, I have been waiting on answer's from these new discoveries. Since all it means is there will be another biblical catastrophic event. Who was chosen to build the Arc this time?

John Seychel

Thank you AJ

Sam Zpen

Great episode. So excited when I saw the title.

Kathleen M

Awesome episode

rob denton

Yay! I am really looking forward to this one. Thanks for all your hard work 💖!

HeckelFish throwing shade on Greta...hell yes

Ray J

Amazing show. ❤️ 💯

Carlos Lamas

The amount of research is fantastic. One of the best episodes yet. Side note: a little too much/loud background music for my taste. Found it distracting at times when I was trying to devour the master class worth of info you gave.

Trevor Norris

Since I became a fan of TWF, an episode on Göbekli Tepe has been in my top 5 list. Thank you 🫶

Osiris Ledbetter

Yay! I've been waiting for this one! Can't wait to watch it!

Wow. A 55-minute episode before commercial. A new record! Watching now. I am concerned, though. You may have survived the wrath of the CIA, but now you've taken on Big Archaeology!
