None of us are.
About 10 years ago, you woke up to an eerie silence. The power was out. You went to check your phone for news but your phone was dead.
Then you realized, everything was dead. Some kind of blackout, you thought.
You looked out your window, confused. It looked like a normal December morning. Holiday decorations were up, though all the Christmas lights were out.
You saw neighbors also peering through windows and standing on their front porches. Everyone was looking up.
It looked like the stars were falling. Only, they weren’t stars. They were satellites and space debris. It was raining fire. And for the first time in your life, you saw the aurora borealis … in the middle of the day.
You looked at the calendar. Today's date was supposed to mean something, but before you could remember, everything went black.
It was December 21st, 2012.
The end of the world.

Time is not linear, it doesn't flow like a river, but moves in individual "quantum moments" which last only a few billionths of a second that we call "the present", or "now". Think of watching a movie, while we perceive motion on the screen *nothing* is actually moving at all. We simply see a bunch or similar still images shown in rapid succession that we "perceive" as motion. Like a movie, time can be sped-up, slowed-down, paused, and even run in reverse, only to be shifted forward again in some arbitrary direction we call "the future". Would we even be aware of this? Are the actors in the movie aware when the projectionist changes how the film is played? Maybe... Have you ever had a day that just flew by faster than you expected? How about one that seems to last forever? If you are on an elevator, you can't see what direction you're traveling in, but you are aware of it in the moment it stops, starts, or changes speed. The same trick works with time. There is also one "loophole" in the awareness of time, and that is from the moment of perception until that perception becomes a memory in your brain. An idea in the process of being formed might recognize the difference between time shifts, that feeling that you've done something or been somewhere before, aka: Deja Vu. Could Deja Vu be an indication that our personal timeline has changed direction? I don't know, but there are some professors in physics who are thinking along the same lines as I am. As Einstein once said, "Time is an illusion that keeps everything from happening all at once."

2024-01-27 09:31:35 +0000 UTCYou tell an excellent story. Irrespective of whether or not it's true, or even partially true, you're right about one thing: there's a change coming. People feel it. The book and associated theory "The Fourth Turning" by Neil Howe and the more recent book "The Fourth Turning is Here" suggests a late 2020's - early 2030s for a big change. The idea is that for untold centuries, history follows a pattern brought about by the behaviors of generational archetypes. The research is interesting and there's no small amount of evidence supporting the theory. The Fourth Turning supposedly brings massive change. Supposedly, when we come through the other side, nothing will be the same. I guess we will find out. Keep up the good work!

At that time however the generation of males in my extended family all worked for the government or were government contractors so I don’t know what to think. Like my cousin Abe that worked for the NSA at the time. In 2003 I had just earned a networking security associate diploma from my local college. I did it because my cousin said he could get me a job as a government contractor in GA. Well, after a heated conversation my cousin with him over the phone he told me that anything I say at anytime could be listen to so I need to be careful of anything I say in a I wanted a job. Well, I used to listen to Coast to Coast AM at work overnight since the 1990s. While I waiting to hear back from the contractor job my cousin called and started to asking a bunch of questions about why I listened to Coast to Coast, something I never told anyone about. Needless to say, never heard from the contractor…never got another interview for a Fed government or contractor again. ATT even a company I’m a customer of interviewed me twice and I got good vibes but never got the job. It really makes you think about the system and those involved.

When stationed here nearly 15 years ago we were told that people call it "The Looking Glass." All these years later & there has never been an explanation as to why it is referred to as such. We continue to refer to it as "The Looking Glass," and go about our lives as per the usual.

Great Uncle in law Air Force Colonel said we had a Space Shuttle far more advanced than what I was watching on tv 1988 when he told me this. For years we had a photo of him shaking GW Bush’s hand receiving an accommodation on our foyer wall. My father worked for D.O.D. and military his entire working career. So we had pictures of my Uncle, dad, and other relatives that worked for the government on the wall as well. I was told the Thanksgiving after my uncle told me about the Space Shuttle he moved out to Arizona. When walking out of my parents house around 1996 I noticed my uncle’s pictures wasn’t on the wall so I asked my mom about it. She said, who are you talking about? I said Uncle Clark the Air Force Colonel. She said, never heard of him…I walked out and to this day I’m the only one in the family that remembers him. True Story…Now you see why I love Why Files? P.S. I also had a photo of David Robison and my dad when they worked at Kings Bay together. My dad was the shortest guy in the office and Dave was the tallest.

I was hanging washing on the clothes line that very minute. I thought to myself if the world suddenly imploded into a black hole at least my washing is clean. That’s domestic duties going to a ridiculous level. Imagine though that within that microsecond the world ended and began again, saved by folding time and space heading us to an alternate time line. Unfortunately though in this time line Star Wars became a terrible mess. But that’s a different story. Thank you AJ, Jen, Victoria, Gino (the grandmaster of storytelling) and Lord Vader, whoops I meant Hecklefish!

This whole episode reminded me a bit of the original deus ex game back from my PC gaming years. That plot, like this, had nearly every conspiracy theory one could imagine interwoven into the story. I trust you and your team to give as honest an account of the subjects you delve into as humanly possible, and I have yet to be disappointed. That's why I keep watching and look forward to new episodes, and will continue to do so. To many folks the subject matter is fringe, at best, and not worth more than a moment of consideration.
