Giants of Malta | Evidence the Ancient Builders are Hiding Underground

Malta is an island rich with history and legends with mysterious megalithic structures that have puzzled archaeologists for centuries.

These massive stone temples, some of the oldest in the world, seem almost impossible to have been built by prehistoric farmers. But there's more lurking beneath the surface.

Legends say the Nephilim were the giant beings who constructed these incredible structures, and their descendants may still dwell underground today. We investigate the possibility of these giants, examining bones, elongated skulls, and mysterious hidden subterranean chambers called The Hypogeum.

10:18 Gotta stop you there. Read the scriptures referring to the Nephilim carefully. There were two races of giants. The Nephilim, and the sons of the Nephilim. It's important, and I don't think we're supposed to focus on it. I got banned from Wikipedia after making a point of it. 11:12 Again, check those verses carefully, there was the Nephilim, and there was the sons of the Nephilim. Sansuna (taller than trees) would have been the direct offspring of a fallen angel and a woman. Probably the origination of the Greek Titan legends. The 10-foot tall giants, then, would have been the sons and daughters of Sansuna. The Sons of the Nephilim is what in our collective memories as what we think of when we hear the name Goliath. Sidenote: The angel of light were kicked out of heaven for their attempted rebellion somewhere after Adam and Eve were granted dominion over the Earth, and the angels were denied it. In fact, Lucifer rebelled BECAUSE he thought that God was making a mistake in giving corrupt humans dominion over God's greatest creation. For their sin, those angels were banned from heaven forever. They were NOT banned from Earth, yet. We don't know exactly why they were, but it's a safe bet that they were banished to the Pit for their involvement in corrupting nearly the entire human race, and creating the monstrous Nephilim and the Sons of the Nephilim. I would note that your description of Sansuna's fall sounds precisely like the legend of (Lucifer) being stricken from heaven and crashing on Earth; in a ball of fire. If you're reciting legend based on recorded ancient texts, it's possible, even probable, that Sansuna was a Daughter of God.. an angel. Angels are mostly depicted as human sized, but it is recorded that there are different sects and types of angels, and if the descriptions of all of those types were ever given to us.. we don't currently have them. If you're embellishing this factoid.. you're actually obfuscating her claims at being a Nephilim. 11:23 Have you done an episode on 2the various legends of Marduk and Gilgamesh, from different cultures? As I said, the variability of those legends does point to it being a derivative work, but it is interesting, and likely based on historic fact somehow. In fact, I would say that Hercules may have been based on Gilgamesh. Way more likely than Sampson, as those legends don't match up nearly as well. Also, archaeologists believe that they may have discovered the tomb of Gilgamesh recently, so there are some very juicy bits to include. ...I would ask you to do an episode just gathering the various legends of Nephilim type creatures, but as you are seeing, there is simply too much juicy content to collect it all in to one episode. That said, there are other legends from those regions of various Nephilim, besides Marduk and Gilgamesh, that could be gathered together. Of course, it's entirely possible that the original line of ancient Egyptian Pharaohs were one of the races of Nephilim. We're told that Ra and assorted other Egyptian gods were living gods.. but nobody has ever expounded on that fact. Given the various hybrid descriptions of those living gods / pharaohs, it's unlikely they were a single alien race. Being one sort or another of Nephilim is entirely possible, though. 12:05 FALSE. The Bible is the oldest text known to mankind. You mentioned Ethiopian religion earlier. They are reputed to have the oldest Bible on Earth.. Possibly even an original copy of the text given to Moses by God himself. As I've mentioned previously, legend has it that both ancient Hebrew and Ancient Indian were taught to mankind as a gift from God's angels. Given their shocking similarity, I find it highly probable to be true. That said, older texts than the Bible may exist.. but if they do, we don't have any of them. Anyone who infers that there are texts older than the Bible is attempting to obfuscate the truth. Every single work that modern science claims pre-dates the Bible, can be shown to be a derivative work. Not only that, but they make more sense as such. All things being equal, the simplest explanation is usually the right one. We have references to the One True God and His chosen people dating back to the some of the oldest surviving texts and glyphs carved in stone around the world. The very idea that the Bible is derivative is ludicrous, once you've studied the subject thoroughly, and applied a dash of logic. Now, shockingly, you CAN say that there are older religions! This is because "In the Beginning", God and his angels walked the Earth with Adam and Eve and their descendants. Nobody worshiped Him, they experienced him first hand. Goddess worship, ancient Wiccan, is actually older than Christianity. That is a fact. Also, while the sons of Adam and the daughter of Eve are known to have made offerings to the One True God, it's debatable as to whether they actually worshiped him. We DO know that the oldest recorded cities in the first Babylonian Empire were corrupted by the fallen angels. They taught mankind to worship Baal, a thoroughly disgusting religion, and to do all sorts of horrific things in ceremonies, that are certainly unnatural, in an obvious attempt to cause God to lose his love of his favored children. I point this out to show that I'm not acting like a Judeo-Christian fanboy. There truthfully are things that Judeo-Christian isn't the penultimate apex of. However, you really can study ancient history and prove that the Bible is the oldest surviving text in the world, and all surviving similar legends are derivative of IT. Again, that doesn't mean that it's the source of everything ever. God says that "Thou shalt have no other gods before me". WHAT other gods?? I submit that the fallen angels from Heaven presented themselves to mankind as minor gods. Consider the ancient Greek pantheon, all of the gods living on a mountain top, their disobedient titan children (Nephilim) banished for all time. The Roma pantheon was OBVIOUSLY a derivative of the Greek one. I would submit that the Vikings may have loosely based their mythos on an even more derivative version of the Greek Pantheon. Possibly. The Viking version reeks of druidic influence, and the Druidic culture is nearly certainly a derivative of Akkadian influence. Unfortunately, Islam has wiped out 99.5% of the historical Akkadian record.. so we have no clue if they were all based on Akkadian mythos or not. You'll find this incredibly interesting, AJ: Almost all of our conjoined western mythology about Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Hags, Djinn and other Fae creatures originated in Akkadian mythology. People have a hard time pointing at their origination, because it's been erased from the historical record. What little does survive is that all of the ancient cultures familiar with the Akkadians didn't mess with them, EVER. They were known / said to have been the most adept practitioners of magic the world over. Other cultures hinted that the Akkadians were adept at opening portals between the Fae realms (another plane of existence) and ours.. and that this place / these places were the origination of the mythological races. As you've mentioned before, there are a handful of legends that place the origination of various mythological entities across Mesopotamia anyway, and back then Babylon was just a quick jaunt across the fertile crescent. It's entirely possible that the original conclave of lower case gods living on a mountain top originated in Akkadian scripture or mythos. We'll likely never know. We DO know that the Greeks didn't inherit the legends from the Phoenicians, so it's either original (based in Greece) or sourced from somewhere else. Of course, nearly every reference of angelic/nephalim/demi-god type creatures involves them living on mountain tops, so that tidbit is no shock at all. In fact, it's so pervasive, we can assume it's based on fact. One more, the Bible mentions angelic vehicles as "Chariots of Fire", and as you pointed out, the ancient Indian mythology also mentions air-borne vehicles. I won't make the intellectual leap from airborne vehicle to spaceship that many do.. but it is stunning that the two oldest written languages on Earth both mention that their lower case god / angelic creatures had airborne vehicles. 25:15 Come on NOW... 3600BC is not before writing was invented. Just a few episodes back, you just pointed out that the "oldest" writing is from ancient Sumeria, 6-7,000 years ago. I pointed out that that's false, the First Babylonian Empire and various other civilizations predate Sumeria, not the least of which is ancient India, which has records that date back to approximately 11,000 BC. Some archaeological sites in Egypt date back to 9,000 years ago.. Gobekli Tepe et al... The list goes on and on. Modern Science is full of crap. Their lies even smell like horse manure, on close inspection. 25:34 Interesting tidbit, as I've mentioned before, the scientific method was born because the Roman Catholic Church ordered one of its sects to study the giant bones that commoners were finding, and claiming that they belonged to giants and saints (around 300AD). One of their earliest debunked claims was that the skeletal remains of cyclops were simply elephants, and commoners mistook the trunk as an eyehole. Ok, here's where it gets funky. Modern science tells us that elephants are descendants of whales, which had vestigial feet. Modern science also tells us that the modern elephant had a pre-historic cousin with hips built for walking like a hominid, bipedally! However, like the cyclops, modern science doesn't seem to have an example of this creatures' skeleton. ...I'd leave a cliffhanger right there, but I have to ask, how do they know this creature existed, without any skeletal remains..? I submit that like all giant hominid skeletons ever reported.. the powers that be seem to be adept at disappearing them. 27:57 I believe that the myth about ancient peoples elongating their skulls is entirely that, mythological. Every. Single. Example I've even seen or the "elongated skull" class, displays a profoundly enlarged cavity for the brain pan. I refuse to believe that binding your skull somehow enlarges your brain by 60-140%. The only examples I've seen that look like actual skull binding are horrific. If you picture the normal human brainpan as being the size of a basketball shoe, the skull binding leaves the brainpan the size and shape of a lady's ballet slipper. Extreme brain damage is to be expected, and is reported. No, elongated skulls are too close to homo sapiens to be from a star system light years away.. barring a God that intentionally seeded the same DNA around the universe.. but it is also too unique to pretend that they are categorically homo sapiens, either. 28:40 That's not tinfoil, AJ. There's is geological evidence that a catastrophic flood occurred in the Earth's strata layers. It is estimated to have occurred near the Younger Dryas. This rather vivid and relatively miniscule layer in the geographic record is found... globally, just like the cultural legends of a great flood. One more example of modern science proving that every word of the Bible is correct. There are dozens and dozens of other examples. Although.. to be totally honest, we don't know if it all occurred during one massive global flood, or multiple huge regional floods that effectively covered the Earth's surface. Certainly every cultural reference, and the Bible itself claims that it was a catastrophic event on an epic scale. Another thing that modern science knows, but does not discuss, is that those oceanic shelves that exist globally at about 80 feet below the ocean's surface..? Those shelves were exposed before the Great Flood, and it's likely that the vast majority of humanity was washed clean off of those shelves during the great flood. They certainly weren't living there after the ocean shelves were buried under 80 feet of water. While pockets of Nephilim may have survived on mountain tops around the world, we know absolutely nothing of the people's that certainly lived on the coastlines before the Great Flood. There are a handful of sundry legends from India, Egypt end the region of the Seven Seas, but we KNOW.. nothing.. about them. Those people's have been erased from history more surely than Islam did to the Akkadians, and they may very will have been the focus of God's wrath. 29:17 HAH!! That's funny! You closed with the chariots that I mentioned above! Although, just to mention, those chariots were for the arguably human sized angelic creatures. I've never heard of any legend of a titanic sized vehicle for the first generation Nephalim. Although.. there is Jack and the Beanstalk. That one is nearly certainly a parable of sorts, though. However, there are two versions of the fable, which may be derivatives of an older legend, which may have been rooted in Akkadian lore, which has itself been lost to time. A lot of maybe's there, but that doesn't make it impossible, just improbable. :)
