(G)I-DLE - I Trust Album Listening Party

Great video! I would love to see your reaction to their English version of HWAA and LATATA. I think the LATATA version is the best English version of a KPOP song I've ever heard.

The first time I listened to Luv U, I hated it, and it was the only (G)I-DLE song I skipped when it came on. Then one time when it came on, I let it play, and was like, "Wait... why have I been skipping this song? This is amazing, what the hell was I thinking?" and now it's one of my favorite I-DLE songs, lol

I've always loved Oh My God and Lion, but I honestly wasn't feeling Luv U or Maybe that much after my first listen of the album. Luv U still doesn't do much for me, but Maybe has grown on me massively. Its beat is just insane. Great reaction, I've been looking forward to hearing your thoughts on these songs. And I hope you enjoyed your break, please don't feel bad about taking a few days off when you need it! Really looking forward to your upcoming videos, I'm so excited for you to start Queendom

Just to add to the comment about lyric videos, in both "Luv U" and "Maybe", Shuhua has lines. A decent amount too. In "Luv U", she comes in after the first chorus. And in "Maybe", all the parts in the chorus that said Soyeon were actually Shuhua. In fact, Shuhua got more lines in "Maybe" than even Yuqi, Miyeon, or Soojin. The downside of watching colour-coded lyric videos is the insane amount of inaccuracies they have. I remember when people watched these, they kinda bashed Soyeon for being unfair with how she writes and produces songs. Then (G)I-DLE actually performed these two songs live and people found out they did all of that complaining for nothing.

Just a heads up: most lyric videos aren't made by actual fans, and the majority of popular ones are from channels made for profit to exploit loopholes in YouTube's content ID system (the long custom outro for example is part of it). As a side effect, they often get the singer wrong in these lyric videos. In this case the b-sides for iTrust mistake quite a few of the members for each other. Shuhua gets affected more frequently as casual listeners aren't as familiar with her voice due to a lack of lines earlier in their career. Shuhua's confidence took a hit after receiving criticism Korean viewers because she mispronounced her lines during encore stage (for their first win for Hann). She made a social media post apologising expressing disappointment in herself, promising to try harder in the future. Allegedly Shuhua asked Soyeon for less lines in next comeback (Senorita) so she could focus on improving her Korean.

that's what I'm here for, thanks for the reaction
