I was just actually talking about this situation with a fellow patron yesterday. I remember going into these reactions with people having told me it was 100% conclusive. Like Jimin was totally in the wrong. I have a very different perspective now than whatever I may have said in these videos.

rewatching this and oddly, it's easiest to rewatch it on someone's patreon account vs trying to go to a site with a bunch of overlay pop ups. It's kinda interesting.....at the time you watched this how everyone THOUGHT about how sad the AOA situation was bc everyone thought that the first round of bullying articles was true when it turned out the "victim" was basically just lying. Kinda goes to show you, can't really trust articles and scandals and whatnot

i must say park bom know what this show is before she decided to joined, so to be fair she accepted to be did dirty in this case like that i guess

I'm months late but I do wanna say. With Lovelyz, they're from Woollim ent. They debuted in 2014 and for all that time their title tracks and most of their concepts were innocent. Like Dahee (mc) says they're rich with hit songs. But since they've always been confined to a box the company put them in their nerves not only came from seeing the other performers doing their thing but also showing the audience and their fans, who might not take well to concept changes. Plus, it might've seemed minute (since gidle just did a whole dark concept before them) but they were trying something new. Anyway, it's often overlooked but Lovelyz are such great vocalists hampered only by the boundaries their company put on their concept/image, unfortunately. Also, side note (im late af), Wheein.... wasn't really feeling well during this time. But you probably know that by now lol As for AOA. Not only did they take a long break but some members (mostly Hyejong) has to adjust to the wrong directions despite their muscle memories because they're missing 2 members. And yeah, watching queendom after the scandal is a whole other layer of sad

(G)I-DLE really showed what Queendom was about. I think the other artists kind of underestimated the performance side of the show, even Mamamoo(tho their stage was pretty good to, I don't need to mention the vocals). Oh My Girl really stands out from the second performance on as they saw what (G)I-DLE did in the first round and ran with the concept. I knew a little about YooA from IDOT only enough to know how cute she is, I gained an appreciation for the group as a whole after this show.

Yep, she's on it. Sera's the reason I checked it out in the first place, really. I also knew Nada as she was on UPR3 with Soyeon. I really like the show but it's one heck of an emotional rollercoaster. Only the first six episodes have subs right now.

Is that the show with Sera Ryu? I haven't watched any of it yet

Miss Back first 3 eps were tear-jerking

I really would love to see you look into Oh My Girl more - they aren’t exactly what you’d expect, despite them choosing to do secret garden and being known for their fairytale concepts. One song as a sample doesn’t really paint an accurate picture.

The blurring you see is to blur out any brand names or logos. Korea is kinda strict on that. Look at the IPhone/Samsung incident with Blackpink. In AOA you have the Twin Towers HyeJong 5’8” and SeolHyun 5’6”. All the others are 5’5” or lower. Oh My Girl the visual is JiHo and YooA is the Face of the Group. Almost all the high notes are from SeungHee and sometimes from HyoJung.

Rudy van Immerzeel

It was actually all Seunghee who did the ad libs on OMG's performance (maybe also a bit of Hyojung) you will be awed even more by their concept and vocal going through the next performances :) :)

I really hope we get a second Queendom run. The moment I saw Purple Kiss and their MHSAB, I was thinking that we need a Queendom S2 with Purple Kiss in it. Your "cult concept" comment on Latata - you getting the just-announced scepter lightstick and robes for DC, then? :'D I agree though, darker and more evocative concepts are very much welcome. I was pleasantly surprised by both OMG and Lovelyz. The standard cutesy k-pop fare doesn't do it for me but I feel like they did enough to differentiate themselves here. And, well, they're so darn endearing. Something I think about a lot, and that some of the backstage comments here kind of highlight, is the bizarrely high standard these groups are held to (and hold themselves to) and how poorly they're often rewarded for that (ask Elkie). I've been watching a bit of Miss Back recently and... yeah, it's heartbreaking. I hope they all love what they do, at least.
