MAMAMOO - Immortal Songs "Delilah" + "gogobebe" Rock Version

Yeah. Even though it’s not kpop, Delilah has converted a lot of nay sayers about kpop. Unfortunately, they did not win that episode. And like you, I honestly wanted to know who could beat them on that performance so I checked out the episode, and yeah. It’s not called Immortal Songs for no reason. The contestants on that show are no joke, but I think, what captivated the Korean gp was that Mamamoo could hold their own against everyone else there. Wheein is a spiral. Once you take note of her she’ll always look more amazing than you remember lol And yes, they all looked so good on this stage. These fits. 🔥 PS. You might notice as time goes on, but RBW is infamous for making all these cool variations and versions of their artists songs for fun, but they never release these officially with a clean studio version. The amount of covers, and song versions that I want a studio version of is endless. It’s a dang shame really 😭

Mamamoo's Delilah stage inadvertently brought me into kpop

Thank you for the reaction to my request!! Delilah is the second video of mamamoo i've watched just after HIP, and they just bring me into KPOP. They made me throw away every ideas i had about KPOP and i stan almost immediatly. This performance always give me chills no matter how many times i see it. I do hope MMM will release a full rock song one day cuz i think they will slay it or a collab with Dreamcatcher but i don't think the world is ready for that XD

Ugh it was so good to see you react to more live stuff by them. I agree, the gogobebe stage was an amazing novelty bc Mamamoo and rock work so well together but whoever produced and planned that show seriously made some questionable calls. Regardless, they killed it, adlibs and rap and all. I hope we get to see more mamamoo live performances once you finish their MVs because they shine live. There are so many stages and concerts that are my "favorite", I probably couldn't even pick a top 20. Delilah is just the beginning 🙃

like the above comment said, mamamoo didn’t win the show with delilah even though many moomoos put delilah in their top3 performances. mine are ‘love story of a girl’, ‘way to sampo’, (and ‘delilah’ or ‘backwoods’: changes sometimes lol). plus they were the first to perform that day and ppl often say performing later in that show is better b/c audience seem to vote more. they didn’t win the show but they did win against 2 other teams though! I’ve watched this gogobebe ver. only a couple of times yet, but now that you mention it I see where you’re coming from, about the energy of the band. also, pretty sure other moomoos would’ve told you about this already but Dreamcatcher on Studio MoonNight was subbed here https://youtu.be/XSSzdYOC4-o thanks to cherry pie on YT! I think there are only a few mistakes and anyway they’re already an angel just for doing subs for an hour and a half show, so yeah. I've watched that Delilah performance countless times, but it still blows me away every time I see it. The incredible vocals, Moonbyul's awesome rap breaks, I just love everything about it. I don't think think they won for this one though, unfortunately. And I have the same issue with the Gogobebe performance. I understand why Mamamoo were brought to the forefront, but I do I think the physical disconnect between the girls and the band definitely took some energy out of the performance. I still really enjoy the performance and the rendition though, I'd kill to see Mamamoo do a rock concept like this for an actual comeback. And by the way, since you mentioned ONEWE rock renditions - They do have awesome rock covers of Hip, Twit, and also Latata by (G)I-DLE on their channel

It's very short but on Solarsido Solar did a medley of rock versions of Mamamoo B-sides that Onewe produced and played for her. And one of the Solar's emotions videos "it's been a long time" is her performing with Onewe. I love the rock version of gogobebe. I don't disagree that having more interaction with the band would be great. The whole structure of the stage where they have the long walk to the front stage is awkward. The other problem (and this is totally on the show not Mamamoo) is the vocals are mixed too low. I think a lot of the energy that your missing has to do with that.

ahhh, delilah is like my favorite mamamoo performance ever. it shows all their charms really well. i actually think this was one of the episodes that they didn't win! but immortal songs quality is insane, sometimes that happens and I KNOW about wheein's hair in rock gogobebe she looks DEADLY i think onewe was in the background for the performance because it was pushed/shown as a mamamoo performance that happened to have a band and that band happened to be RBW's newly debuted one (rather than a collab between the two). iirc onewe were just a couple months into their re-debut at the time, if they had shown them more people might've been like who are these randoms and why are they taking up my screen instead of mamamoo.
