I was also confused about the amended rules, but I'm by now convinced that they added the broker role so that they could keep the members from digging in the trash :D But also I love how they add a fresh twist to every game they play. The episode we see in the preview at the end of this episode is actually them playing against the Going Seventeen staff, with stakes that need to be seen to be believed!
