Stray Kids' title tracks have never been for me, but I decided to check out this album at release because of how much I fell in love with OH and Voices recently, and I'm so glad I did. I liked the harder songs more than I thought I would, but their emotional songs are what really grab me. I've actually pulled my favourite 8 songs from this album and made one of my favourite albums of the year. I think my top 3 tracks are OH, Silent Cry, and Red Lights. I love the combination of the emotional lyrics and the great production in OH and Silent Cry, and Red Lights is just a straight-up BANGER. Definitely going to check out those mixtapes you mentioned, I think I'd probably love them too. And I've realised that I'm definitely Seungmin-biased. He was the person that made the biggest impression on me in Kingdom, and with the way his parts stood out to me here, there's no question. He really blew me away in Gone Away, he's fantastic.

2021-08-29 23:57:08 +0000 UTCFinally got to this 😅 Really long comment ahead. I was also immediately reminded of Fiction (and some 2nd gen songs in general) while listening to Star Lost. Loooove this song, so great! Vocally I really liked I.Ns parts. "This is a song for the girls that wanna bang vampires" I lost it 😂 I absolutely love songs like Red Lights. Love. Anything sexy that suits contemporary dance goes to my plylist right away 👌I love Chan's vocals, he has a really melodic voice. And of course Hyunjin's voice, I'm pretty sure he has my favorite voice out of Stary Kids. Surfin' is a fun, summery song. Not my favorite, but definitely not a bad song. Gone Away is, like all the other songs, great. I haven't really said anything about Seungmin and Han but I wanted to save them for this song. Seungmin sounds great in all songs, but especially in this one. So beautiful. He has a really distinctive voice and tone, which in my opinion sets him apart from quite many kpop artists today. I was really surprised by Han's vocals as I got to know Stray Kids' music more. Such a talented vocalist and he really shines in this one . And I.N of course also sounds great. Wolfgang has grown on me as I've heard it every now and then as it has come up on my playlist. It actually reminds me of a mix of some BTS songs (in a good way of course). I had high expectations for this album and they actually managed to surpass them. This was a first comeback where I consider myself a fan and I am blown away. The whole week I've barely listened to anything else without getting tired. On the contrary, I discovered something new each time. They really did a great job with this one. I was really pleased by the flow of it. This and (G)-Idle's I Burn are in a tie for my favorite album of the year so far.
