I think loveade and pop are tied for my fav kpop summer song this year. I loveeee loveade. About the love-hate sentiments around that song, I noticed that most people who liked bop bop don’t rly care for the song but then those who didn’t rly vibe w bop bop love loveade. Haha. But anw my favourite video that we watched here was Sunmi’s . There’s just something about the way she performs and commands your attention that’s so hypnotising😍 Re: aespa’s choreography, there was actually a static fancam going around of it on twt and people were criticising it because of how unimpressive it looks live. Which is interesting that you brought up their choreography here and then also talking about the way it’s filmed because I think we’re at a crossroad (ig as an aftermath of covid), where you start to notice how some choreographies that are made more for TV/digital viewing don’t necessarily translate as well live now that live performances are a thing again.

This was a great catch up for me, I hadn't seen most of these before and enjoyed it a lot. Sunmi, Nayeon and fromis_9 are probably the standouts, killer performances! I mentioned this on Discord today but putting it here as well - I can no longer activate notifications on your YouTube channel, it says it's unavailable because of "content for kids". I dunno if that's a regional setting you can change, because it seems okay for other people. Could maybe affect your numbers a little, though I can't say how long it's been like that. Anyway, hope you have better days 💪

Also I think you would really dig Gfriend, there's no group that sounds like them, it's a totally unique sound in kpop. I think Rough by Gfriend is the greatest kpop song of all time (in my opinion of course). I feel like it captures every emotion at once, it's somehow simultaneously joyful and sad and hopeful and regretful. But they have a ton of amazing tracks.

I don't even get into ranking usually, but this illegally catchy song compels me to. Maybe it's like Yanny/Laurel. Out of nowhere I was hooked from the first second. Ah and fun little fact if you don't know-- SinB was childhood neighbors with Moon Sua (and of course her brother Moon Bin of Astro).

For the complain some people had on tsuki it make no sense cuz the whole point of the choreo and song is "being confused" so they use a lot of expression and change them quickly because they are confused about what's happening (they talked about it somewhere but i don't remember where) and also like you said they all do it it's just that Tsuki is always at 120% so you notice her first

Billlie's CEO does a monthly collab with various artists and releases a digital single. This time it is with his own group and there is a physical release and MV. It is a title track and b-side.
