2023-06-02 12:44:08 +0000 UTCI watched this interview on release date long ago and I always felt watching it, that I could feel the Mamamoo members giving up on future USA promotions during the interview itself :) There's nothing specifically wrong with this show. In fact, regular radio shows may be worse. This applies to Korea/US/anywhere. To promote like this as an underdog, you need to either naturally understand the local banter (Blackpink), just deliver sound bites (Aespa) or make an incredible effort to train yourself to be effective in a foreign media environment (BTS) For a more "artsy" group like Mamamoo, they can't just go with sound bites. The personality that shines naturally through for them locally is very hard to make work in a completely foreign language & culture More than the music, BTS biggest breakthrough compared to all other Kpop acts, has been how they managed to communicate & present themselves to international audience and media
