Honestly the whole Koreans vs Foreigners thing, I've just learned to not take it srsly now because really the producers are trying to rile up the viewers while for the contestants themselves, I think they don't the rivalry too srsly either, especially in the later episodes, you'll realize that some of them have been friends pre-show or became good friends afterwards.

2023-06-29 20:17:23 +0000 UTClove that you’re checking this show out! out of all the survival shows i’ve seen (produce, girls planet, i-land) this was hands down my favourite. a lot of people have said that this show brought them out of a kpop slump, and as someone who has been into kpop for almost 4 years and was starting to feel a bit disconnected from it all, that was definitely true for me…they haven’t even debuted yet and they’re already my ult group, i just love these boys so much. i do hope you keep managing to avoid spoilers as it’s a lot more fun that way, but just know the final lineup is insane. they just started airing their new variety show and i’ve not seen a group with this good chemistry so early on that just screams FAMILY, probably since seventeen and bts. i’d actually recommend you don’t completely skip through the elimination episodes like some people suggested as you might miss some really fun moments, but instead watch them on 1.5x or 2x speed!

They did the signal song for the show and based off that it was 50% trainee evaluation/ 50% master evaluation. So they were ranked 33-1 based off that before we ever saw the audition stages. They revealed their rank right before they performed so that’s when everyone found out their ranks. So compared to produce seasons, that was different. Since produce had them in tiers, then did the signal song. There was a joke that GP999 was trying it’s best to say/show it wasn’t produce. So when boys planet came out MNET basically showed this is produce season 3 lol and weren’t even trying to hide it since during GP999 everyone joked about it trying not to be produce.

But who am I to know. Girls Planet was 2 years ago so how much do I actually remember?😅

I really love their latest song Dangerous that I can highly recommend. Tempest also have Yuehua's first ever Vietnamese Idol and is 1 out of 2 active Vietnamese Idols today.

2023-06-25 15:37:45 +0000 UTCas for episodes to skip, from my girls planet experience, i d skip majority of the elimination episodes as it is litteraly just the announcer telling who makes it to next round for 1h30 straight if not the whole episode and checking out the list of who made it through.

2023-06-25 15:09:04 +0000 UTCthis show seems to be more light hearted than girls planet from what i ve watched now, the editing seems wayyy nicer and the evaluations less harsher, i mean no surprise when we ve already seen how mnet does completely different ambiances for the kingdom and queendom series.

2023-06-25 15:04:00 +0000 UTCAfter rewatching with other reactors I'm all for skipping through some stuff lol. Especially the stuff they drag out right before a performance or any result! When the eliminations happen though skipping is a must those eps are horrid 😭. But I'm glad you're checking this out now!! Public reception after the first 2 episodes aired really turned around since all the bad auditions already happened and the actual round performances are all mostly really really good so this will be fun!

2023-06-25 14:39:27 +0000 UTCfor wakeone i know that chaehyun who won gp999 came as an individual trainee in the competition (no company because she left SM ent after not making it into aespa) and signed with wakeone when she made it into kep1er, i don't know if wake one have trainees now but maybe they signed the "no company" trainees before the competition started ? idk but i m pretty sure there arent any wakeone groups that debuted other than the competition show ones

I really hope, if you feel like it after this show, you check out girls planet aswell because the trainee level and talent in it is actually insane !
