That's right I do recall her saying her sister had nothing to do with it. And I agree Sakura could have been way better written, Kishimoto didn't really put too much into his female characters. They still had their character development and depth - to a certain extent, but it was a rather shallow depth in retrospect.

This episode went hard in almost EVERYTHING. Even the fuckin music, which as a music person i can highly appreciate. Idk how i feel about that last second grab of the bullet tho. Ik i called plot armor on panda, but this time it definitely felt like a stretch. Bomb ass jacket btw Sherm!

I think because maki left the clan. They became more strict with Mai as well. So in theory Mai was kinda forced to be a sorcerer because it was better then being even treated as less of a human then before maki left because they weren’t even looked as humans while maki was in the clan with Mai
