THE PROMISED NEVERLAND S2 E5 FULL REACTION

Man, they really are doing this anime dirty lmaooo

THE PROMISED NEVERLAND S2 E5 FULL REACTION

LMFAO!! 😂🤣😂 yeah man hopefully they come around, I’m still holding onto hope that the author somehow brings goldy pond in like as a cliffhanger for S3 and then adds ALL the kids into it. Could see a lot of potential from that outcome.

This show is starting to sour on me now 😭

@Reanimated Yeah, I'm seriously hoping that's the case. I always had this thought in my head that some things were done just to move the story forward, but if there's more behind the scenes that happens now, that part of the manga may feel more natural. @Zagreus Yeah, after episode 4 I quit reading anything because it's just turning into a cesspool of complaining. I'll be honest though, if I didn't know the author was also working on the script, I would be far more critical of Cloverworks and their decision making so far. But yeah, overall, I'm just happy the anime is back and I get to enjoy it again.

I’m not gonna lie, I started reading the manga after ep 1 from being so excited, saw Goldie Pond and got mad hype, then immediately was let down. I don’t wanna say I dropped the anime for good, but it dropped way off my radar 😅 Idk what direction they’re going but I hear the author is involved so I can respect it if the original creator has a say in what’s being done with their work. HOWEVER, I’m probably not gonna watch another episode till I see a thumbnail where Sherm doesn’t look absolutely confused or betrayed 😂. I saw the thumbnail and was like “what did they do now?” Then I saw the episode...

Nice to see someone actually analyzing behind-the-scene factors instead of "Fuck the author, fuck Cloverworks, why are they doing this, why do they hate us, blah blah blah."

I've seen plenty of anime, TV shows, movies, etc to know that not all questions have to be answered immediately, and that it doesn't need to hold your hand every step of the way. So yeah, it was a little jarring but I'm not gonna dwell on it. And I feel we don't need a repeat of the first episode lol. Time skips happen. I'm chill.

I too have read the Manga, and was mad excited for the Goldy Pond arc but they said.. Nah... 😃🤡😒

50 chapters in game years like 20 core characters poof vanished

That’s a solid assessment. I was thinking the same thing as well, where the author is possibly looking to bring more characters into the arc they cut, and have it be centered around them. I can’t imagine them cutting the entire arc out. That’s why I haven’t been revealing anything yet JUST in case the author decides to swing it in a different direction.

So you mean to tell me after last week’s cliffhanger of an episode, you’re content with them skipping everything that happened after that lol? There was no resolution to what happened after being chased back into the Forrest by the wild demon, there was no explanation as to how or why other human beings were attacking them and how they knew where their safe house was. There was a plethora of unanswered questions, even as an anime only, that’s blatantly in your face lol. I’m not knocking you for enjoying it, but you can’t be confused as to why people are “seeking out faults” because it’s not seeking it, it’s right in your face.

Just in case you didn't see, no new episode next week - it's going to be a recap episode, which was unplanned due to production problems. Onto the episode though - as a manga reader, I'm still super conflicted about how it's being adapted. I'm enjoying it, since I can piece things together, but I'm confused at the same time. Part of me thinks that the author wanted to reintroduce Norman earlier than in the manga and then use his intelligence and his friends as tools during the skipped arcs instead of the missing character. Another part of me thinks that they're having to cut some of the content due to animator and time constraints. This season was announced in March of 2019 and it's just now coming out but they still have production problems. The skipped arcs would require such an insane amount of work to look good, and Cloverworks having Wonder Egg Priority and Horimiya this season and another anticipated show next season, they're giving the scraps to this show instead since anime really is just a tool to sell more manga/light novels/merchandise and with TPN, there isn't necessarily a need for that any more.

A lot of what I've seen anime peeps have been positive. As long as ppl don't spoil in detail what's been cut out. Ignorance is bliss in this situation. I'm okay with that. I LIKE to enjoy things, I don't seek out faults and flaws (which seems to be the cool and trendy thing to do in the 21st century). But that's just me. I know I'm one of the unusual people who have the novel idea of wanting to enjoy stuff.... and then when I don't enjoy something, I drop it and move on without a word. Crazy right? Lol. I'm hella weird like that.

関口信玄

Nah Terence anime only and he’s not liking it, check the end discussion. That’s only Terence though I can’t judge the whole anime only community off that sample size, but yeah.

SG

Moreso they're doing the manga dirty than the anime. Anime only people are doing fine, so I wouldn't say they're doing the anime dirty lol. The salt is real though from what I've seen. So much salt over entertainment. Meanwhile.... COVID vaccinations are slow af. XD

Fellow manga readers, this is a safe place to share our tears.
