I'm not fully caught up on the novel, and I had read it a while back but I think this resurrections is a one time thing for Rimuru, due to special circumstances and the evolution itself helped improve the odds.

Ah and I did go ham with it on Danmachi but thought to ask this time if you guys would like some more cut content and fun facts for whats happening in the show. I love how they are doing season 2 but some of the stuff is not explained very well so if you have any questions I can help make things make more sense.

Yo im back from Danmachi cause I didnt realize you guys were watching this so I have returned and yeah this episode was awesome. To quell your guy's concern about the whole Resurrection thing this was definitely just a one off situation the only reason he was able to was because of the barrier around the town kept the souls of everybody who died in the town normally the soul would have disappeared after they died so dont worry he doesnt have that get out of jail free card anymore.

My guess for him keeping the king alive is to force him into signing some sort of binding agreement or some shit so if they pull this again rimuru has the grounds to argue for annihilating them, it's an optics thing, so the monster kingdom doesn't seem bad when they go ham on these dudes for fucking with them, same thing with the dude from the church, although he needs to rematch with hinata, I wanna see it now that he's a demon lord lol.

I thought the resurrection thing was a one time thing from becoming a demon lord, like a wish or something along the line. And you’re right about the deaths feeling like they didn’t have much of an impact if Rimuru can continue to bring them back, but if he can’t I feel like an impact was still made on Rimuru and his lax ways of going about doing business. This episode also puts a main worry away for me. Something they never really went into detail about so I was worried it was gonna be some hidden problem in the future was him naming people. I thought he was using life force by the way everyone was acting. "Are you sure?!" attitudes from everyone and then him passing out. With an evolution and power upgrade I feel they can't go that route now.

I'm really interested in the Primordial. He gave off an antihero vibe in the OVA. Even though he's a little sketchy as fuck, I think he can be trusted. I hope. I like the idea that Rimuru is so op this demon is simping over the power and not just falling into the troupe of "I'm gonna get close, stab him in the back and tack over.". I want him to be loyal dammit.
