It's explained more in detail in the novel but basically when they were younger they trained together, Lilia had a crush on Paul. Paul knew this and took advantage of it by groping her, and eventually straight up broke into her room and pushed himself on her until she eventually "let him" have his way with her. She has conflicted feelings about it because she didn't want to have sex with Paul and he did kinda force her, but she also had feelings for him anyway. Which is why she follows him and starts working for him as a maid. Paul is just trash all around lol
