Well I think it depends on how its used, its not disrespectful in every sense but it (from what i found) can be used like someone sitting there going "sure thing *boss*" where you know they dont like the other person but yeah what you said its just slang

It depends on the relationship of the ones involved but it could be considered a rude way to address a Senpai showing they do not respect their Senpai or just an informal/friendly way like a nick-name. and it comes from reading Senpai backwards cause for them it is the 2 characters Sen-Pai so they just flip em.
