TO YOUR ETERNITY EPISODE 5 FULL REACTION

Yup smh...Pain

SG

Just realised something about the last shot of the episode, where March is walking away from the pear tree: she (Fu-chan) is still bleeding where the arrow pierced her ๐Ÿ˜ข

Larile Millvet

It feel like thereโ€™ll be nothing but death and tears coming from this anime...๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Yeah I get what you mean Itadori isnโ€™t like a really outside the box mc like denji. But to me heโ€™s interesting is mainly because his ideals can be challenged and he isnโ€™t like โ€œoh yeah Iโ€™m always rightโ€ type character which I like. Itโ€™s super realistic that you would regret your choices at least somewhat or even wondering if what your doing is achievable. Iโ€™m just curious how heโ€™s gonna turn out by the end of the series also the thing with lemillion I think think the timeframe and the moment he came was actually good. Since itโ€™s been over 3 years pretty much since the overall thing happened in the manga so in that part is fine and he came back in the right moment too which was when the work needed him the most. But it felt somewhat lackluster like you said it didnโ€™t have much build up or anticipation.

You make some good points. I see where you are coming from. Did you think Lemillion was healed too early or is that just me? It could have been foreshadowed better. Also, please give Monster a chance when you have the time

Johan

Deku isn't a vigilante. He has a license and he is secretly working with full on heroes. People just call him vigilante deku because he left UA and they like to think he is one. I don't find it corny at all. I like the way he is right now and the change of appearance since it actually gives him more to his character. I actually wanted something like this for a long time now. I do know what you mean with people like twice though. People thought he had a ton of potential and more to give to the series but it was also a huge surprise to see it happen to him so it was a good way to throw everything off balance and up the stakes since people did actually care about him. It was also good that it was him because of his specific circumstances and his moral ambiguity between being "good" and "evil". As for all for one being your least favorite character I can understand that but I think everyone tends to recognize that his character is more of a evil overarching threat that doesn't have much to him besides being the overall threat and pure villain. I can see it as being a better option to leave all for one alone besides showing how powerful he is and showing his impact on the ones around him based on his villainous tendencies. Their has to be a character for everything to fall on. Shigaraki is shown to be the character that is under his influences but still has the possible redemption or redeemable qualities. It allows shigaraki to appeal to readers because all for one basically made him the way he was along hero society itself. Hero society is the other big problem besides all for one. It is related to the society we live in with our real world which is another cool factor. I think it will hopefully be addressed by the end of the series because the author makes it a consistent point that hero society is really flawed and messed up.

Maaaaaaan... wtf. At the end of the episode I exhaled. A mix of exasperation and sadness ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜” But at least Fu-chan f'ed them up in Oniguma form โœŠ

Larile Millvet

I see what you mean. I was just trying to tell Sherm that Itadori right now isn't the most relatable shonen mc which is what he said. I read the manga and he definitely gets better but still isn't as good as other MCs. It's just an ok show. I dropped the manga and anime because I've seen the same story done so many times already.

Johan

Lmaooo tough

SG

I get what you are saying with jjk anime wise itโ€™s only season 1. You canโ€™t expect a character to have god tier depth in the first 24 episodes obviously you can if the anime is made to be that way. Jjk is built to be a longer running Shonen so itโ€™s to be expected we are gonna gonna a the MCs full character in the first 24 episode. I personally believe YuYu hakusho could have been the best Shonen of all time obviously we know what happened with YuYu hakushos ending. Iโ€™m saying comparing Yusuke or Kenshin to Itadori rn because both of the former characters just had way more time to get depth and development. Even tho I love YuYu but I still gotta admit Yusuke was not a peak MC by episode 24 of the show. Iโ€™d say give jjk sometime (unless youโ€™ve read the manga and if you still believe itโ€™s not your cup of tea then thatโ€™s perfectly fine) Iโ€™m always hesitant to judge a show unless itโ€™s completed or really deep into its run. Thatโ€™s just me personally tho

Shin splits

I read the manga to see what the hype was about. Wasn't a fan of some things but wasn't bad. I definitely think it needed more time to flesh out shigaraki and the other villains like twice. My least favorite character is all for one because he seems to be a villain for the sake of being a villain. The deku thing where he is a vigilante is a little corny tho. I would like to recommend you an anime called Monster. It is on YouTube for free since it can't be found legally and has 74 episodes. Trust me, you won't regret it. Watch the first 4 episodes then come back and tell me what you think of it.

Johan

Funny you should say that. I think you would like these upcoming MHA arcs if you want that kind of stuff. Knowing what is coming up from reading the manga you might want to get up to date with season 5 if you haven't already cause next arc is the start of where stuff changes. This is without spoiling. Honestly I think this series does one of the best jobs of fully identifying and understanding different villains in a superhero world and allowing you to recognize why they are a villain in the first place.

L.C.

I think anime fans should step out of their comfort zones more often. If you only watch shonen you will eventually get bored of it. The same goes with shojo and seinen. I love me some shonen from time to time but it can be repetitive. My hero did have an interesting idea with the superhero thing, but I think it was held back by being in the school setting. They should have focused on the villains and fleshed them out as characters instead of having another tournament arc. How many times is my hero gonna have a tournament arc lol. I think every season has had some kind of competition or tournament. It just gets monotonous

Johan

I don't think Itadori is much outside the usual shonen MC. You can name off a number of things that every shonen MC has that shows character depth. I think JJK is just alright. Really starting to feel repetitive at this point after watching shonen for a long time. The demons and curses shit is so overused in anime. People talk about MHA being generic but it literally is the exact opposite of a generic series when you are talking about anime/manga. You don't see a mix of japanese culture and western superhero culture in manga/anime. That is the one big factor that makes me like MHA opposed to the others. But I still have my problems with it being the standard type of shonen series and some of the things that it does because it is a shonen.

L.C.

Also this dude named Zagreus talks about a miserable life but the dude literally stays on patreon waiting for people to upload reactions. He is always one of if not the first comment on multiple different videos and patreons. He is also making dumb complaints about MHA for no reason. I have my problems with this arc as well but the dude says dumb shit in general. He liked the bitch in this series that no normal person should like because she is a literal bitch with an attitude and ego and now he goes back on it cause of what she did in this episode. Like bruh just suck it up and admit you have terrible tastes in waifus and apparently can't get much of the real stuff since he is too busy being in horny jail with anime girls. Not to mention dude has to make entire essays on every post. Sometimes I like to type some but dang the dude really lives on patreon. No one actually lives on patreon posts but this guy does so I wonder what he is like with other places like YouTube or Discord or whatever else. This is partly me sticking up for you and partly me shitting on this guy because sometimes he annoys me with what he says. Either way we are all fucking losers cause we watch anime lmao. It doesn't matter if anime is mainstream or not.

L.C.

I really like Beastars so I read the manga. I just think the cgi is distracting. It isn't early 2000s cgi but it just doesn't hold a candle to 2d animation. I also enjoyed the science aspects of Dr stone and I think senku is a likable protagonist. I didn't like the 2nd season as much because it speed ran the science aspect to focus on the villain who was pretty uninteresting to me. I don't like re zero cause of how basically it's just boring dialogue between characters who I dislike. I'm glad you enjoyed these anime tho. I just think the whole isekai thing has been done to death.

Johan

this shit not that serious go outside lmao

Brandon

Don't worry we had rezero season 2 and slime and dr stone and mushoku tensei. Everything else I didn't care for but those are definitely good. AOT lost my interest pretty bad and it was annoying to keep up with every episode so I dropped. JJK was alright. Although I think some parts were just meh. A lot of it is honestly repetitive stuff like you usually see in shonen jump but it has good animation for the most part. I think it isn't quite as good as people make it out to be. Beastars is also a great series that I found recently but that is definitely an acquired taste lol

L.C.

Damn. I really thought the dark blue/purple haired girl was a main girl and my guy was gonna learn how to clap those cheeks. But nah I always knew that one bitch was gonna cause problems. I didn't like her since she showed up. She acts like she is tough shit but she couldn't handle it when she caught them bear paws. Her attitude was the most annoying part. But I was really hoping the older girl would be a love interest or something cause she is cute. Shit.... It is kinda fucked up though cause I figured one of them would die and I love little march and think she is amazing for her age but I still liked it better that the older one didn't die cause of the possibility she would stay as a a character. So I was slightly happy when march got shot instead of her but now apparently the older girl isn't gonna be a love interest or in the story anymore so I lose on both fucking ends. -_-

L.C.

Nothing wrong with having opinions, but there is such thing as shit ones lol. And you got some pretty shitty opinions is what everyone is trying to say. Youโ€™re the minority, really. So itโ€™s understandable.

Shawn

When did I insult or talk shit to anybody on here? I just said the jjk wasn't as good as people claim it to be and last season wasn't that good and just gave my explanation as to why. Again, criticism of a medium is not a direct attack on you or your life. I frankly don't fucking care if you like jjk and you can like whatever you want. Hell, if you like boruto or fairy tail then by all means you do you but don't get angry if someone criticizes those anime. If you watched Paranoia agent and said it was shit, then that won't affect me in the slightest. If you criticized it and made good points on why it's bad then you might change my mind. That is why arguments are important

Johan

Man's talking shit for a whole thread and all of the sudden he does a 180 and magically turns into a goody two-shoes. LMFAO. Not buying the act, good try.

JsnSkg

Giving criticism is not a bad thing. If you like these shows, more power to you. I don't think jjk is a bad show at all. I just think that calling it peak shonen is silly, which is what a lot of people believe. And yes, despite what you believe about me I actually do like anime. My favorites would be Macross 1982, gurren lagan, Monster, Berserk 1997, and paranoia agent. You can criticize them if you want, because no anime is perfect but I consider these my gems. You can like what you want and I will like what I want. There isn't any need to talk shit about others. Arguments can be a good thing if it isn't toxic. Maybe I just gave you an anime that you might consider great.

Johan

In the first part of the ep I was hella annoyed with March..... this big-ass bear that was wreaking havoc is DEAD. "Why are you smiling?" "Because you're getting on my every last nerve and I'm trying my damn best not to snap your adorable little self." Terrence was echoing my every thought when I first watched this. Then next thing I know I was crying. Could've avoided so much pain if she asked Fushi for help. :/ Also it's unfortunate they have very little medical knowledge there (at least in terms of the village, can't say the same for the far more advanced Yanome). Taking the arrow out too soon, not applying pressure. Pretty sure the #1 goal of this anime is: Let's just make everyone cry. In order to do that, characters need to make irrational decisions, and characters need to die after being adorable for several episodes. The powerful soundtrack didn't help either.

JsnSkg

Just sounds like to me you hardly like anything. I can just imagine some miserable dude hating almost everything. Someone who hates his life because nothing satisfies him or lives up to his standards. Lmao. Oof. I feel bad for you, bruh.

JsnSkg

Shonen and seinen should not be separated in terms of quality. There are plenty of good and bad characters on both sides. But if you want me name only shonen mc that are better then here you go. Yusuke, kenshin, Gon, Edward elric, light yagami, Allen walker, and just recently, denji from chainsawman. There are others but these are the ones that are on the top of my head right now

Johan

I read the whole manga lol. Yusuke is a great character. He feels frustration when another antagonist shows up and feels helpless because there will always be a new villain that will replace the old. He isn't as deep as Gon Freecs, but he is still great. Plus he has a great and lovable personality

Johan

Every character you mentioned minus Kenshin and Yusuke arenโ€™t shounen characters. And obviously if you compare JJKโ€™s cast to top characters in all of shounen/seinenโ€™s then yeah itโ€™s clear you arenโ€™t giving JJK a fair chance with your argument

MoonRelate

How you gonna sit here talking about character depth and have the audacity to name Yusuke as if the whole basis of his character isnโ€™t โ€œyou looked at me wrong now time to beat your assโ€, that and the fact heโ€™s a male tsundere. And itadori definitely has character depth. Itadori feels remorse for fighting cursed humans on numerous occasions and shows compassion for his counterparts and others on various other numerous occasions. Doesnโ€™t sound like you watched past episode 10 of the anime.

SG

Just recently, an older anime was remastered. It's called Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and it was incredible. It wasn't popular when it came it and isn't even in the top 100 anime on MAL. Again, MAL isn't the best way to see if an anime was good. Sword art online was top 50 anime of all time before YouTubers started trashing it. Nobody on YouTube is criticizing anime anymore and is getting a lot of views

Johan

I disagree completely. Itadori is basic shonen mc. He wants people to die a normal death which is basically just saving people from the baddies. Every character in jjk can be summarized as cool and badass. There isn't much depth to them. It seems to focus on the fights which is why most people like it. You can't name me a single character in jjk who is better than Griffith, guts, kenshin, yusuke, makoto kusenagi, Johan liebert, Wolfgang Grimmer, and literally hundreds of others.

Johan

Also MAL is not a bad reference, itโ€™s based on popular opinion, and if a show is bad, it would not be rated highly, thatโ€™s a fact. The older anime arenโ€™t rated as high because theyโ€™re not new, anime is recently surging in popularity and the casuals will not go back and watch the older anime, so yes ratings may not be as high. Let them get remastered and watch them all be rated 9+.

SG

Huh? If you value good character writing then the fact you donโ€™t like jujutsu kaisen is weird, because they have very well written characters and an extremely balanced female cast which many anime miss the mark on, especially bleach. Itadori is one of the most human shounen MCs Iโ€™ve ever seen.

SG

I wouldn't go off MAL lol. According to MAL, jujutsu kaisen is better than Ruroni kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, Monster, berserk 1997, etc. Every new anime is rated extremely highly. To your eternity was #37 on MAL when only one fucking episode was out. I don't go based on those inflated scores.

Johan

Hot takes incoming: I read beastars manga since I don't like cgi at all. Wonder egg isn't my cup of tea. Jjk isn't for me because it's literally just fights with characters I don't care about so how am I supposed to be invested. You got a problem if bleach has better characterization than jjk. Re zero is pretentious garbage in my opinion. Characters just stand for an entire episode talking about their feelings. Slime is pretty boring plus I hate all modern Isekai. Cells at work is more of a documentary series and I'm not trying to learn about the human body. It's not bad but I watch anime for character writing and stories expressed in a way that can't be told by any medium except anime.

Johan

Yee pretty much everything Sherm ju8st listed off and to add to it, Yuru Camp, Non Non Biyori, Horimiya, Quints. From just a purely objective view, not personal opinion you can even go off ratings on Mal, reddit, or anilist, last season had mroe high rated anime than any season in many many years. This season is super stacked too tho. Reason this happened and why last season and this season so great is cuz of Covid, tons of anime were delayed all year and everything got piled into these 2 seasons making them incredibly stacked.

funkymonk

AOT, Beastars, Jujutsu Kaisen, Dr Stone, Mushoku Tensei, Reincarnated as a slime, Re:zero, Wonder Egg Priority,So what I'm a spider?, Cells at Work & Code Black, there was plenty last season lol.

SG

That seems to be the popular opinion but I disagree. I thought attack on Titan was the best thing that season and all manga readers know how that story ends ๐Ÿ˜‚. Worst ending I've seen in manga but no spoilers here. What animes from last season did you think where good? Just curious. I know you'll say re zero

Johan

What? Last season was arguably one of the best seasons of anime since like 2011.

funkymonk

This season of anime looks pretty good. I don't like watching weekly because I like to binge the shows. This one does look promising tho. I just hope this season isn't as bad as last season

Johan

I'm at work so I can't watch yet, but ima just say: I'm no longer simpin.
