Vivy’s animation is obviously top tier, but the sound design is equally impressive and Beth’s digitized scream of Estella’s name during the fight will always remain a highlight of this show. I’m glad you two immediately had a reaction to it, because I pretty much instantly paused the episode to rewatch that scene again when I first watched this episode. This show’s got a ton of amazing arcs, but this remains my favorite because of how perfectly it all climaxes with that fight and because it’s the first time the show breaks out the really good fight animation. Good news, there’s a ton more where that came from.
