Happens for a lot of people when something so traumatic happens, they shut down and don't think clearly. In his broken mind the way he tries to process it is basically, if Mikey never broke his own moped, he wouldn't need a new one. he's completely twisting it round. But, like I said he's had a mental breakdown and his minds went into overtime trying to come up with a reason why it's not his fault that he's not only just killed someone, but one of his best friends big brother at that. Don't get what Baji's play is, he must be there as a double agent or something. His betrayal makes no sense.

Maybe Mikey's brother was already planning on giving him that bike for his birthday. If that's true..... that's fucked up even more.

I didn't think nothing of it when he blamed Mikey, because a lot of people try to find someone to blame in the heat of the moment, but kill him!?? Also, how did these 12 year old boys afford bikes, especially Draken, while Mikey has the worst one and his brother owns a whole bike shop. And why doesn't any of his so called best friends know this?

In the same breathe he did it to make someone he cares about happy, Mikey. In his mind what he's done contradicted whate he felt and so he needs a target other than himself for his actions. I think it like a minor mental break where he tried to find someone to blame but really he knows it's him, he's just in denial and if the lie goes on long enough to you, it will become your truth.

Also, you kill my beloved older brother for basically nothing but want to kill me too because you feel too guilty to be accountable for your actions and how you are the literal cause of this tragedy. It definitely is interesting that the author took this route because normally Kazutora's response/reaction would of been something like Baji's especially with them being a tightknit group.

2021-07-24 23:58:14 +0000 UTCI remember when I read this I legit threw my phone because Kazutora just pissed me off like it’s not like Mikey asked you to steal the bike for him, also one thing to note he said that Shinichiro saw them but he only saw Baji. Kazutora literally could’ve just dipped he put blood on his own hands for no reason. I’m sure once Shinichiro saw Baji he would’ve likely talked it out with him and forgiven him. There was no reason he had to die. That whole scene got me so mad with Kazutora.
