Maybe doing that would nullify or at least significantly slow down the draining of his life force? Only reason I have this theory, is because it is technically based on the game called "Takt Op".... and from what I've heard, it's essentially Azur Lane or Fate/Grand Order, but with Musicarts instead of Ships or Servants. There's a main character, with powerful waifus he can command in battle. So I'm wondering if this is kinda leading up to that. I could be totally wrong and way off base. But who knows lol.
