I haven't read it yet myself, but my understanding is they cut a lot to get all of the content in the 12 episodes. Sure doesn't seem that way though. If they did cut stuff for the sake of time, it almost feels like they should have not done the last mini-arc of the season and instead of expanded on the first and second arcs.

2020-06-15 19:20:23 +0000 UTCI think a lot of hate for this season and my main reason of hate for this season is they retcon something for a certain character (the new blonde in the opening) that was a big plot point for the character herself and what she was and had to deal with. Basically she is dealing with something that she didn't want to be a part of and she thought she had "lost" something but in the end they make up some bullshit that totally wipes away all of that characterization and importance to the story. Hope you know what I am saying cause I am doing my best to explain something without really spoiling.
