Also, none of his friends died because of this. Helping Bam with Rachel is benefitting them greatly. And Even if they did die this would be irrelevant as they're climbing the tower. Death is a common thing, and there usually wouldn't be an opportunity for someone to take the Administrator test because irregulars are hella fucking rare. Normally they'd be dying for way less. Not sure what your issue with drama is. Any sort of conflict is drama. So, basically, you want a fairy tale slice of life story....?

Maybe she had already done some fuck shit before that we don't know about. She's too far gone, she's given up on herself, she's got w/e ambitions she's got and is too far to turn back, but this dude Bam doesn't have to go down that path and end up like her. Doesn't excuse what she did, but it's a thought. We'll see what the reason is next episode hopefully..... if they revealed it this episode it MIGHT have had more impact, hard to say with the spoilage that goes on, though.

2020-06-18 13:08:11 +0000 UTCI do get what you mean, I'm a webtoon reader myself but I would never try to ruin the show for a anime only by hinting or outright spoiling things that happen later, but sadly a lot of people do just that. They changed a lot in the anime with Rachel and already hinted that there might be something off about about her which we got none of in the webtoon aswell as the whole wheelchair scene with Bam and her which was 100% anime only. In the webtoon, the betrayal came out of nowhere and no one was expecting it, which is why I feel like it hit a lot harder than in the anime.

If you have read a manhwa before, there are so little attention to the world or the backstory itself that even the artstyle is simplers and blander than an anime or a manga's. That's why they are able to put out more chapters of manhwa than a manga's

It doesnt help that the show itself is very bland outside the fight scenes as most manhwa are, there is no background or life outside the fights as opposed to anime where you can feel the world and its inhabitants. Here you just see the fights and drama, nothing else

Imo it wasn't much of a betrayal, super weak impact, I felt nothing from it. Felt neutral about her in the first place, not much has changed, cuz I don't really care. Imo Myne from Shield Hero is a worse character. Yuri was the best thing about the episode. She was the highlight of the episode. Anything anyone else has done in this episode was overshadowed by her badassery.
