2024-10-19 20:51:48 +0000 UTCIt's time for the return, the reckoning, of the long awaited Musical Factoid Corner!! *insert air horn noises* 🎉🎉🎉 -Alot has changed from the manga. In fact the whole flashback scene was an anime original. -In the manga Kenpachi is already healed and in the lab with all of them. Ukitake also explains the lore behind the Soul King's arm to everyone in the lab instead of Shunsui. -The guy who tried to restrain Aizen actually lost his fingers. In the manga there's a small panel of the guy looking at his hands. One was down to a quarter of his palm, the other hand his fingers were nubs. It was incredibly tame in the anime, compared to the manga. -This episode is adapted from most of chapters 616-619. Kubo moved alot around, so I would wait to reference it until a couple more episodes are released. The manga and the anime are like two completely different renditions of the same story. As a manga reader I really enjoy it! It's like I am re-experiencing this arc with everyone else. We are all experiencing Kubo's full vision for this arc, and I am all for it!

2024-10-19 18:57:18 +0000 UTCChill episode but next one is gonna be back to the action. A couple things to clear up. There are 5 special threats, only Ichigo, Aizen and Kenpachi have been revealed to be ones. Also Unohana had to die cuz the only way to unlock Kenpachi’s true power was to kill/resurrect him until he became strong enough to kill her. Which means no holding back, something hes done unconsciously and consciously this entire series. Unohana was the first kenpachi and gave up the title to become a healer after she beat Zaraki as a kid due to him unconsciously weakening himself. Lastly Aizen’s spiritual pressure always was able to disintegrate those around him since he fused with the Hogyoku 2 arcs ago.
