Bleach Thousand Year Blood War 3x9

Kyoraku's bankai is insane

Bleach Thousand Year Blood War 3x9

That would’ve been some bs lmao

SG

What?! It’s high stakes that’s the best part about it imo

SG

There may be something to the conditions, but as another example, the play just happens to someone independent of their choices. Lille didn't feel the need to throw himself in the icy waters, he just found himself there being told he'd thrown himself into them. A decision made for him. I kind of think the disease is the same, although the idea that even the small regret about taking all the damage you inflicted back into yourself might be enough in that case, I dunno.

Alex

It's not confirmed but it is highly likely the guy is right. You have to feel regret for shunsui to move to the second act. If you listen to how he is telling the story his words match with what lille is doing. Lille is playing the character and must act out what the character should do in the story for it to progress. 1st act he must feel regret, 2nd act he must feel despair and 3rd act he needs to not accept the outcome and attempt to escape or attack shunsui. Other than a crazed person like Kenpachi most characters will easily fulfill these requirements. Plus there is also the possibility that shunsui has more plays based on who he is fighting

Honestly TWBW kinda loses my interest because it just keeps knocking people off. But it has some of the dopest moments.

The Law_v1001

It's actually a filler arc worth watching

Alex

It's a story he's telling, a play. Even if the guy didn't actually feel regret, that's the script.

Alex

Kubo made all the zanpakuto spirit designs specifically for that filler arc. So her design (as well as all the others) was always canon.

Quelz

My real question is, could his sword actually have poked his eye out?

BZD

I think the only way to counter it is to not feel that initially regret for injuring the enemy.

BZD

Shunsui’s a chill guy

YungZeus

I really liked how he fooled the sniper with solid energy. Because it makes sense, they were at a distance where it’s hard to see, but if you can sense someone with energy, then you no longer need to fool their eyes, but rather their energy sensing. So I’m guessing that the blood we saw when he was initially shot wasn’t actually real, and instead it was the Sniper’s brain filling in what he would expect to happen, just like how our brain can fill in blank spaces. Edit. Oh. I forgot there was also an illusion fooling the eyes as well.

BZD

Understandable. I do think it’s cool that Kubo used a design from a filler arc and made it canon. At least I believe that’s how it happened

Coreyy

Ahh I haven't seen that

SG

He is definitely GOATed

SG

Honestly it was fire! Thank you fam!

SG

Mann what an episode and reaction! I was going through comments on TikTok and twitter, and people weren't satisfied with how the episode was displayed compared to manga, but it was never supposed to be like a crazy fight, considering this is one of the less action based fights, they did a hell of a job, people love creating over the top expectations, but enough yappin from me, W reaction Sherm!

Harry

What makes it even more crazy is that apparently , as long as it has a narrative throughline Shinsui's bankai can have any story and as many acts as he chooses, kind of similar to his shikai being any children's game provided it has clear rules. That's why he's the GOAT (the GOAT)

roadrunneruntd

Fun fact: We actually saw Shunsui’s Zanpakuto spirit (Katen) before the TYBW. I don’t remember when this fight came out in the manga, but we actually see Katen (Ohana, his Zanpakuto spirit) in the filler arc Zanpakuto Rebillion
