Artemus

The main excuse for sub lovers is the Japanese VAs over react to everything lol. If you speak Japanese, half the words are made up that they use for anime over exaggeration.

Bocchi In Shadow

no it is about understanding the language

VYNSYX

It's not even about understanding the language. You can actually feel the emotion and passion when it comes to Japaneses VA's. With English one's most of the time it's either, their not even trying or they simply overdoing it.

konosuba dub is just a good as sub also "It always sounds like they're trying WAY too hard. So much over-acting going on" Yeah that is how it is in Japanese too. the reason you don't realize this is because you don't understand the language.

Mr. I Like Spam

Konosuba and Prison School dub? Bleh. English dub anime comedy is just bleh to me, moreso than anything else. It always sounds like they're trying WAY too hard. So much over-acting going on, not even in the charming way.

The OP and ED are fire!!! And so are the backgrounds and scenery. Goddamn.

関口信玄

I can't see the knock-off Mister Donut in the background and not associate it with Shinobu from the Monogatari series. I don't know if it's actually supposed to be a reference, but it's a nice nod to another anime vampire if it is.

Ara Araragi

Idk if you hear it, but Nanakusa has the same VA as Aqua

creepy nuts music is fire

Aaron Pendergrass

I don't know if anyone's told you all yet, but the ED song is actually the song that inspired the name of the manga. The song is Yofukashi no Uta by Creepy Nuts and the author was a huge fan of both the band and song, so the manga shares the same name. The general feeling of the lyrics, about enjoying the night and all its pleasures, is a large part of what inspired this story. So the fact they got that same song to be the ED for the show (plus how it was used in last episode with the first flight) is such a great way to capture the feeling the author wanted. The OP also being a Creepy Nuts song definitely helps too. It's one of those rare instances where you're 100% certain that the OP and ED captured the feeling the author wanted. It also doesn't hurt that Creepy Nuts makes some excellent music, despite the odd name. Another fun fact: The director of this adaptation has a very interesting history. He was co-director for multiple seasons of the Monogatari series, then went on to be director of the Case Study of Vanitas, and is now directing Yofukashi no Uta. Somehow this man is just attached to projects involving vampires.
