Also that extra scene at the end of the movie was during season 1 cour 2 when gojo had those souvenirs from his trip he went to (when he surprised everyone abt itadori being alive /. The author originally wrote jjk 0 as a different story I think it was called Tokyo metropolitan sorcery school or something like that as a 4 chapter one-shot story. That one-shot became incredibly successful and shonen jump wanted the author to continue the story as a weekly shonen. So he went with a different main character since yuta's arc was already finished and introduced new characters while keeping the old ones too. He just made the jjk 0 characters a year older. This movie is also canon to the main story.

2022-09-22 05:15:29 +0000 UTCKouki Fujimoto (Mob Psycho and CSM trailer) drew 60 cuts for the movie by himself including Yuta's fight. The Gojo fight was done by the director himself. The director of Season 1 and the movie left to focus on his own studio. I'm also 99 per cent sure from the Season 2 key visual that Shoto Goshozono (Ranking of Kings Episode 21 director) will be the director for Season 2. Yuta not being the MC for the main show is probably because there's not much to do with his story anymore. Also, he'll just be a mini Gojo which sounds cool because he is OP but it'll get boring pretty fast. He doesn't have much going for him except being OP, not that Yuji is an extremely nuanced character but there are more possibilities with him.
