A look into the future that capitalism is paving for us.. But yea like everyone else said this show is great I am glad ya'll picked it up. English is good in this one though. It hit hard for me cus the way his mom talks in the english dub reminded me of my mom since some spanish is sprinkled in.

2022-09-27 11:50:29 +0000 UTCI ended up watching both the sub and the dub, and I can definitely agree that the dub is really really good, and even has some things it does better than the sub (the more obvious use of the settings slang/terms etc). But even so I prefer the sub. It had for me at least, way fewer misses when it came to some of the voice-acting of some the characters. So yeah, I vote for sticking with sub, but either way I think you'll be fine no matter which one you go with.

I took a break from the show cuz life and other things, and then came back to it and it seemed a lot better. I was leaning on dub before, but felt the acting was getting a bit bland and dry for some reason as the show went on, and I was feeling more oomph with the Japanese. Also, the main crew VA's are not bad, but that one Fixer is TERRIBLE in English, imo.

The dub has the cuss words and the Cyberpunk slang/jargon, but Japanese still has better voice acting overall (the English voice acting is still decent though). I've gone back and forth a lot for the first few eps, but finally ultimately settled on Japanese. Idk why, but it felt like the English got a little more bland as the show went on. The subs being way off before were a bit cringe, but it turns out they actually improved them during a brief hiatus I took.

Without saying to much I haven't watched a show that brought out this amount of emotions from me in a long time honestly a great show, considering I wasn't expecting much due to the game but I was pleasantly surprised.

2022-09-26 04:09:32 +0000 UTCI actually really prefer the dub for this show, not only because it somewhat fits the setting more but also because the subs tend to be REALLY off. Especially when they show English text on the screen. There are all sorts of text messages sent between characters, which match the English dub, yet not a single sub matches the messages displayed. Plus some of the translations are just plain incorrect. There are a lot of times where the sub's translation isn't the same as the dub and yet somehow isn't particularly accurate to what's said in Japanese. It's so weird. Somehow they managed to be incorrect in two different ways at once. It doesn't hurt that the show's got an excellent dub cast and some great voice work.
