the box is what turned Renner into a demon, poisoning the kids was to turn into a demon. she had already become a demon which is why climb was told he was the last human left in the castle. Thats why she wanted another one to be able to transform Climb. aslo in the LN phillip's father and family weren't beheaded, the whole village was skewered from ass to mouth thats why his father begged for phillip to be tortured as well
