2022-10-09 04:38:26 +0000 UTCAs serious as they got this episode, this is still a shonen series. It's not gonna get that dark. We're never gonna get to that super dark beyond all hope level with this series. The plot armor is just too strong with the shonens.

I got some ideas that hopefully will put your soul at ease: 1) My guess is..... it's a specific type of dog in this specific anime that makes that specific sound, 2) It is a fictional dog with high IQ in a fictional anime, and 3) It is a unique character in said anime, so there is the possibility they wanted to give it something a bit less generic that makes it stand apart from other dogs in the anime. I hope this helps with accepting the unusual bark. I personally don't think it sounds all that bad. For me, it's just there lol.
