He became knowledgeable about the heat it takes to make iron melt, but he can't create molten iron or molten anything for that matter, similarly to how he can't create fire. He simply hated the bars of the cage to get them out. Granted, maybe he could melt those tools he makes and create molten metal, but I don't think fushi has the mindset to do that, hopefully yet
