2025-01-01 15:30:10 +0000 UTCFor a moment I completely forgot I already watched the first episode when Crunchyroll released it early, so I was watching this episode with an insane since of deja vu because I was CERTAIN I hadn't seen this yet. But this is such a great first episode. The scenes after the summoning caught me off guard a few times as Saber name-drops the Old Man of the Mountain, the first Hassan and the strongest Assassin in history. I have no clue why this saber would know of him so certainly, as he's supposed to exist as little more than a rumor It is a crazy name to drop in episode 1. Also, the fact that this episode ends with a Servant in handcuffs is so funny to me. I had no idea you could just arrest them and it'd actually work, lol.

2025-01-01 01:30:25 +0000 UTCThe only reason it’s actually getting animated is because the author of the books is about finished; it was a stipulation that they couldn’t animate it until it was on it’s final volume. The author is also known to introduce a crazy amount of characters almost immediately at the beginning of his books. It’s become his distinct style
