It's Anubis from Egypt!
I really don't know what came over me here.

I started doing research for this one and I found myself getting really inspired to design some sort of modern drip take of what I saw in all the ancient egypt depictions. Most of what I saw showed various vibrant colours and white cloth, with gold decorations. I decided to narrow down the design to the chest/shoulder wrap and then added the red ribbon from his later, feral depictions on shrines. In the end I came up with a palette I loved with the black and gold, using white for cloth and the tying the red together to accentuate where you wanna look (leading the eye literally). The upright man depictions commonly showed what to me seemed like obvious dreadlock hair, but in blue, so I went with it and ended up loving the look. I specifically pulled it down away from his head to maintain the sleek jackal look without any distractions in the shape. Symbol of life on the goods, and idk I drew some fuck ass shoes I guess. I don't know anything about drawing shoes.

I loved the design so much that I actually started feeling it was a shame that this was a rule 34 winner because as sexy as I made him I felt that slapping a dick and balls on it may actually detract from it. I decided to make it an alt in the end with the underwear being the primary version and I still like it. I love this design a lot and I'm really proud. I pushed myself as hard as I could to see what would come out and it's honestly awesome. I'm including the flats in all my posts in case anyone else wants to draw him with this look (not gonna take ownership over the design or anything, just putting it out in the world for all to have).
