Recent issues in Sims community and my opinion on it
Added 2022-04-20 06:45:24 +0000 UTCHi everyone! I just wanted to put my two cents on the recent issues..
I wanted to speak about this two days ago but i didn't know how/where to start it so here i go.
As you know, huge creators like X, Y and some others recently doxxing patrons personal infos such as their e-mails and all the other infos if they put theirs into their patreon account. Which i found extremely horrendous thing to do, since these people pay their real money to fund you, to make you keep create in order to have some nice things in their game, while they are having few relaxing minutes probably after a tiring week, tiring day after work and so on. Making a chain with other patreon creators to block them all at once? Okay, i get that you don't want your creation to get out of patreon but why share their personal information with everyone else? This is not OK and it shouldn't be stand for!
As a Sims4 Sim creator myself, i share my sims on patreon directly; except:
- Monthly Patreon Rewards
- Monthly Modeling Sims for 2nd tier
The ONLY reason why i send these two as links to you is, they are monthly exclusives. If i share them on main page, they will be open to anyone, even though they are not supporting on X month. You are paying for X month, right? And you should get it as everyone else in X month. But if someone else comes after X month, on Y month, they will get Y month's reward. It's this simple. I don't put any extra numbers to track them. I just upload them to mega or mediafire, so there would be a single link for the rewards or modeling sims. After a period of time, i just delete them to have some space in the cloud. That's all. After a while, after an uncertain time, i share my sims on Loverslab publicly with everyone else (only except modeling sims and patreon rewards).
What some personal info leakers do is, putting tracking numbers to their own CC to leak their info with other patron creators so they can block them and share their info. This is the HORRENDOUS part. Patrons are trusting you enough to pay and support you, encourage you and you decide to stab them in the back? No, this is not fine. Whatever you create in Sims 4 as a creator, everything belongs to EA as their TOS states.
Some bad apples happened and gave a terrible impression on all the other Sims 4 content creators, builders, CAS people and so on. It's saddening to say so but it is what it is.
I humbly say that your information stays where they belong, in you. I've never shared or tracked any of it and i would never do such thing. For that matter, my heart is light as feather because i've never, ever thought to do such thing.
This journey is only possible thanks to your kindness, your support and your generosity. I would never do such thing to harm your faith in me.
Thank you for your time, thank you for your support, thank you for your understanding. ♥
